REGLAZE my Glasses

  • I go to eyesight.co.uk they supply there own freeform which are really good and low cost or if you want brands Essilor. Seiko or Hoya at well below optician prices and they have a tolerance warranty.
  • I want to reglaze my old spectacle frames and have read that on line reglazers use cheap lens. I have emailed ciliary blue who have infromed me that they use WLC lens.

Does anyone know if this is a good brand of lens?
  • Heidibag, WLC (Wholesale Lens Co. Ltd) are a high street Optician supplier mainly, they are UK based, we use them in my Opticians, though not exclusively, and they make and supply really good lenses. They're not cheap and will meet all UK standards.
  • Thank you fil!!This helps me a lot. Whilst my lens are single vision, I don't want to purchase off the Internet to find it a false economy. There seems to be a lot of people using ciliary blue with good comments. I contacted reglazemyglasses and their response was a bit aloof in regards to the lenses they use.
  • I would not recommend anyone using the company reglazemyglasses in Nottingham for reglazing. Chances are that you will never see your frame again. This is what happened to me.

    Hi Heidibag,

If we were a big aloof, it was probably because we use nearly every lens supplier for our lenses, which one being dependent on the specific requirements.

Essilor, Nikon, Seiko, WLC are some of the suppliers we use.

    Kind regards

    Hi Armr,

Due to being a service that depends on the Royal Mail, there are unfortunately situations where glasses go missing in the post. That being said, it is uncommon for this to happen.

When people request a pack from us, we give various postage options including more secure methods such as Recorded or Special Delivery.

We encourage people to use these services if the glasses they are sending are of high value.

    Kind regards

Some years ago, the cost for Specsavers to reglaze a pair, which I had barely worn, was higher than the cost of a cheap pair, so it was arranged that I order a cheap pair (which had to be slightly bigger than my lenses, to allow cutting). The cheap frame was discarded and the new lenses cut to fit my frame. About half the price of a reglaze.
  • I have a pair of semi rimmed oakley sunglasses that are not prescription but I would like to have them fitted with prescription polarised lenses. Is this something that REGLAZE can do?
