If auto on DNS doesn't work, try using these:
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
They are OpenDNS servers, not in the Ukraine - promise

Many thanks for keeping me sane and smiling.
Just try the network connections first and see if you can get on the net. If you can, update Malwarebytes.0 -
OK. Going into Safe mode, not System Restore.
Start> Control Panel> Network Connections - still totally blank within the window :-(

Memory stick transfer complete, Quick Scan started. Time for a cup of tea, wish I could make you one for being so hugely helpful.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

Ok, then could be time to try a system restore.
Start >Programs >accessories >system tools >system restore.
This will undo the Malwarebytes fix, so it would have to be done again later, but hopefully it will sort some of the other issues.
It may not even work, as viruses quite often mess up system restore.0 -
Uh oh - System Restore is not able to protect your computer. Please restart your computer, and then run System Restore again. And same message if I do restart and try again.Mortgage Free thanks to ill-health retirement0

Tricky one eh, things get a bit more risky now, and I would maybe back up anything important.
I personally would try ComboFix next, but aliEnRIK is the expert on that.
This is the instructions ripped shamelessly from one of his posts:Please run COMBOFIX
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out
If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive)
If you want to give it a go, download on the other PC and transfer by memory stick again. Try it in normal mode first.
I have to go out for a while now, but will check back later.0 -
