Help please! computers gone mad.

Hi everyone.
Can anyone help?
I have turned my computer on and on the start up it comes up with a blue screen and black lines across the screen about 5 of them this is before it goes to where you have to sign in as the user ie: your name or whatever.
Can anyone please help.
Thanks everyone
Nic

Could it be that the Video connector has come loose \ not screwed in enough?

Your PC must have an option to go Set up or Bios, geterally you have to press a key on start up,this is different on different PC's, but generally it will tell you when you firts turn on, well before you get into windows. Try that..that will tell us if it's the windows driver or not..

so, do you have more than 1 computer, In other words are you entering information on this forum on a different computer that your one?

Does your screen clear, or does it stay the same with lines?

    Could be Video driver, try:-

As your computer restarts but before Windows launches, press F8.

    Hi Closed.
It is a desktop and was a made one by pcspecialists.
No at this moment i do not need any data as i have always stored my pictures etc onto an external hard drive.
Do not know what video card it is.
F8 safe mode just gives me a list and says use arrow keys to choose but my arrow keys do not go down the list anyway.
    Thank you for your reply.
