BT £23.60 Line rental,free calls+Broadband- Any better?

Hi,
At the moment i am coming to the end of my BT line rental contract and my o2 Broadband contract.
My line rental is £13.60 (+free evening and w'end calls) and my broadband is £17.87 with a 40GB limit.
I have just rang BT and asked for any incentives to sign up for another 12 months and they said they could reduce the line rental to £10.60 for 12 months.
I asked about any incentives to get their broadband too and they said they could give me their package which is unlimited downloads for £10 where it is normally £25, this would be an 18 month contract.
Unfortunately, they cannot give me both the reduced broadband and the reduced line rental+free calls so the total would be:
£13.60 plus £10 making £23.60 whereas i now pay
£13.60 plus £17.87 with a 40GB download limit and terrible speeds (i suspect o2 are throttling my speed as i regularly go over the 40GB limit).
Please may i ask is anyone aware of any cheaper deals than this?
Thank you in advance for any answers- Buel

I got offeed the same deal (anytime calls extra £5 -so mine is £18.50 ) + £10 unlimited BB.
I pay Tiscali £18 for .66 upload and 1.5 download -always having problems ,mainly with mail and looking elsewhere .
Think this seems to nbe pretty good at the moment as i am out in the sticks and only BT in my exchange and likely to stay that way.0 -
Have a look at these packages

Is it just me or am i right in thinking that £11.99 line rental + £4.49 (Plusnet 'Value and talk') making £16.48 is not as good as the £13.60 (+free evening and w'end calls) from BT?Not yet a total moneysaving expert...but im trying!!0

But the Plusnet price on incahoot web site is for both b/band and phone line - you have quoted BT line RENTAL price - no b/band fee.:money:0 -
I do apologise for the confusion but i took a look at the broadband deals too and am i correct in saying that:
Line rental (+free evening and w'end calls)from BT is £13.60
Line rental (+free evening and w'end calls)from Plusnet is £11.99
Broadband with unlimited downloads is £10
Broadband with 60GB download limit is £9.49
Sorry for this- BuelNot yet a total moneysaving expert...but im trying!!0 -
my 12 month renewable contract ended last week and when i called was offered
line rental £10/month (if i paid 12 months up front - ie £120/year)
anytime calls package £5/month -monthly contract
option 3 unlimited broadband £10/month - 18 month contract
so £25/month all up and was paying about £38ish for same before
only slight hiccup is them adding family and friends mobile saver to deal for £1.50/month which i didnt ask for or want but they assure me they will remove it!!!!0 -
i got line rental pay up front @£9.99 a month + option 3 +anytime calls inc for £12.99 well pleased !the truth is out there ... on these pages !!0

Sky line rental £9.25 per month if paid in advance and unlimited broadband(if they cover your area) for £7.50 with free eve & wknd calls makes the total £16.75 per month.0
