    Not being cruel but:

Olive Branch UK used to be known as Larry Loophole (Previous trading name!)

Also involved in boats, cars and other associated areas, Oh that is in between building his own 8 bedroom houses!

    Oh also known as

Basically from what we can see, yes.

But they are staying one step ahead of the MoJ and OFT!!

Also another question...when I applied I was £14,000 in debt but now it's taken so long it will have gone over the 15,000 limit because of charges. Will I be rejected now? Please any advice or similar experiences?! Should I see CAB about it?

You can't be granted a DRO if your debts are over £15 000.

Get yourself to CAB on Monday. If you have a budget, or Statement of Affairs, take that with you, and a list of your creditors, and how much you owe each one. They'll then be able to look at your options, and give you best advice.

And one of the previous directors of Olive Branch was made bankrupt on 16th December 2009 at Macclesfield County Court.

Pop stars and MP's are also indirectly involved!
  • Oh god it's shocking to hear this. You need to see CAB ASAP OP, and fingers crossed that you're still under the 15k limit, but if you're not they will be able to advise you about bankruptcy and other alternatives.

  • Hi

We have made the various regulators, including the DRO Team at the IS aware of a number of firms who charge for DRO advice even though they are not actually competant authorties or have any approved intermediaries. The problem is there is a loophole in the DRO legislation contained in the TCEA. The Act stops CA's charging for DRO advice but does not specifically stop non CA's charging. I hope we can get IS to close this gap asap.
