Washing Up Mode is great isn't it?
Lad the machine and brew up.
Empty the machine and brew up :cool:I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

I do the same when I have bits and pieces to do. Also if I have have even 5 mins while I am waiting on the wee one to go to the loo before she gets her shoes and coat on for school, I will make a start on the dishes, even if I know I won't get them all done. Same as during ads. Even doing half the dishes is great, then get the next half done in the next break.
Since being an OS regular, I find I can no longer stand in the kitchen waiting for the kettle to boil. I get at least a few bits put away or a surface wiped down.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...:D:D

Yes, I do that, unloading or loading the washing machine is one. Folding washing, putting away etc.
Shame really for the advertisers0 -
Ahhh, now I can't stand half done jobs so I pop any programmes I want to watch onto record, do the dishes etc when it starts and then when I sit to watch I can whizz through the adverts at x30!"Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0

I do this, I watched part of the NTA's last night (until 9 when Masterchef came on), due to the sheer amount of ad breaks, I managed to do the washing up from dinner (dried and put away), unload the dryer and put a washing load ready in the WM for switching on this morning, fold and put away all the clothes from the TD load and had two hot vimto's in between
On Tuesday night I made a makeshift frame for one of DS's art projects whilst watching Eastenders :rotfl:

DW gets annoyed at me because I'm always doing *something* when we watch a film whether it's catching up on correspondance via email, writing cards, making lists, knitting or flicking through a cookbook. I find it quite boring to only watch TV and I only really watch it to appease her; if it were up to me we'd sit in silence all evening with books/scientific journals or the whir of my sewing machine.0
