if somebody sends a private message to somebody else and they offer to help them that is not "touting for trade" as the first move was made by the person sending the pm. On another website's forum I posted a question asking about a particular apartment building in spain and someone pm'd me to say he knew someone who rented out an apartment there and could put me in touch with them. Very helpful I thought.0

Ha ha ha Duchy, you really are grasping at straws now. One thing I must admit you are correct about is the fact that i have posted who i used to (i re-iterate USED TO) work for. Now if i was really touting for trade, it wouldn't seem very good business practice advertising other companies rather than my own, would it?As for me trying to find out where you work..... Why would I bother
Well, lets see. you made the satement that i posted on this website stating who i wor for, and yet you cannot tell me who i work for. So obviously, you have no proof whatsoever who i work for. If i had posted my company name / contact details, then you would be able to state exactly who i worked for, but alas you cannot. As I know people have PM'd you and you've offered to book for them.....
If that is what you think, then please name just 1 person who i have PM'd (or vice versa) touting for trade. If you feel this is the case, may i then suggest you report me to the Moderators to see if i am in breech of the site rules, and let them decide.
Now would you like to go back the the OP's question, and apologise to them for mis-informing them on the answer you gave them, as your answer was clearly wrong.
After you have done that, may i suggest you turn off your computer, and go back to your normal day job. After all, it's quite clear that whilst you are posting on here, you are depriving a village of it's idiot!I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. cruel ... but very, very funny!0

I emailed TR and this is the first reply I got back:
It isnt all that clear is it. I see another provider advising 1/4l wine and 1/4l of water, which sounds a bit like what you think it might be.
and then this:
the answer I got from the provider selling thsi was as unclear as their room description! So I got one of our contractors to advise us what is likley to happen.
They advised:
Drinks are included with lunch and/or dinner but they could be limited to a glass of wine and a glass of water per person.
These days, it generally means they could have a beer, soft drink or a glass of wine with their meal (but not as much as they want like on an All Inclusive programme).
This is similar to the other provider who were advising 1/4l wine + 1/4l water. Looks like one drink to me!

Hi busiscoming,
So, even from company you thought about booking it with, and then their suppliers, it doesn't really clarify the situation. However if you want to take Duchy's advice as to exactly what it includes - DO SO AT YOUR OWN PERIL!
Have you priced up the all inclusive option?

Take as many potshots as you like-but you actually posted who you work for now......and whom you worked for before that too.
As for me trying to find out where you work..... Why would I bother....You have an extremely high opinion of yourself don't you !
As I know people have PM'd you and you've offered to book for them.....I know you do indeed tout for trade so I really don't know why you're getting your knickers in such a twist
You really are coming over as a conceited idiot in this thread, why not just apologise to the OP (for the incorrect information) and to hxdave (for your rudeness) and then act like an adult and move on.====0 -

As Id never heard of the option I wondered what in really meant, and yes I agree no one seems to really know - even those who in my mind should!
My best option is to find somewhere else and yes I have thought of going AI but as we are most likely to be out for most of the day it will probably be a waste of money.0 -

Not always. always worth checking out alternative AI options compared to HB hotels. Even if AI work out more expensive, divide it by the number of nights and get a daily price difference. if it's only a few quid, then even if you only use the free drinks options at night, it could work out to be a saving. I use similar logic with airport lounges. £12 for a lounge equates to approx 3 southern comforts & coke, or maybe 3 beers at the airport bar. not to forget the other extras you get in the lounge (snacks, nibbles, papers, TV, internet access, quiet surroundings, gauranteed seat etc etc etc..........)
Now, on a slightly different matter - Anyone seen Duchy?I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. However I will help with what i can.0 -
My advice Dave would be to leave it now while you have the high ground. You are in danger of overdoing it. BTW while the new bit in your signature may me funny, not really appropriate as most won't know what you are on about. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0
