I used to use ASDA and they always called if they were late, but the lateness was becoming too frequent so I switched to Tesco. My last order was cancelled and they did call and offer vouchers

Overall all of the online supermarkets have positives and negatives, but ASDA seems to have a lot of negatives of you go by the comments written on mse about them

It's one of life's imbalances. People will always post new threads to complain about a company, but rarely post threads praising them.

The vast majority of people are quite happy, and get on with their lives, the few have a problem and rant on forums...makes for a bad impression.

Well yes, I quite agree in general with what you are saying, but by the same token people who have experienced difficulties with Sainsbury's, Tesco's Ocado etc etc will also post to complain. In the scheme of things there is a disproportionate amount of complaints against Asda in comparison.
  • just before midnight to be told that the home shopping team had gone home and our shopping wasnt coming tonight! NO explanation as to why!

That is easy to explain, one poor scroat who was at work from 8am is expected to deliver shopping to the entire county by himself, and decided to call it a day by 9pm after extreme exhaustion set in.
  • I've had a similar problem with ASDA. It took two emails to the president of ASDA to get any satisfaction. I'll not be ordering from them much in the future...

Me too, Ive experienced similar with Tesco and Asda, Tesco recently gave me 4 x £10 e vouchers for letting us down on our Xmas shop. My main complaint is that they dont inform us, if they rang and apologised I would be annoyed but at least that would give us time to pop out and buy any essentials. Communication is the problem in my opinion.

You need to read the world news a bit.

If that is what you term a disaster you must have had a very easy life. ;)

    I agree with this

Maybe you should be better prepared seeing you have children - not to be in the house with no food to give them.

    Still, CS were pants.

    Very good point
  • Well, i joined for a rant over my bad experience but dont think i will bother again, after basically being told i should be more organised and suggest i left my kids without food! We do our shopping online once a week when we get paid, it isnt possible to "replensih stock" until then as things are VERY tight so if im going to be judged for my parenting abilities because Asda let us down VERY badly then thanks but no thanks!!
But thank you to those that stuck up for me on that one, it is appreciated that you saw my point, thank you.
