Well ladies I've had my scan today and it all went really well!! I'm now 12+3 and carrying a healthy baby - couldn't have asked for anything else!

The lady was lovely and very patient. I had to have an internal scan as my uterus tilts backwards and she couldn't see anything. The internal scan was fine though, not uncomfy or painful and the 4 pictures we have gotten are so clear. You can clearly make out lips, eye sockets, hands and legs! She booked me my 20 week scan for the end of September and my midwife is coming on Saturday for my next appointment/blood tests etc.

It all seems real now and seeing the heartbeat was the best ever, me and hubby had grins on our faces all day!

I'll be moving over to the other board now but will still read this thread and offer advice/experience if I can.

Thanks for all the well wishes and support.

Take care and hope to see you on the next board soon!

    xx

My DH is very squeamish which can be a real pain at times but at least I know at the birth he will stay away from "the business end":rotfl:

I did end up buying then having a little panic that I had jinxed us! I know I'm daft! :) I may have to get some magazines too, although I will need to stop myself buying too many as I went a bit OTT with magazines when I was planning our wedding!:D

    xx

Dont forget to check eBay for magazines, whilst they may not be the latest editions you will find most of the info still helpful !

heres one, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/bundle-baby-pregnancy-magazines-60-/330595811378?pt=UK_Baby_Maternity_Pregnancy_MJ&hash=item4cf90bc032#ht_500wt_1156 works out at just over 30p a mag :money:

I had a brilliant week by week book which shows baby growth and key developments, what you can expect and how you will change, will hunt it down and find out what its called,

Oooo! Thanks for the tip :) I shall have a scout around.

Had a little panic so took another HPT. Only had ICs but it was still positive. I know that even if something had gone wrong it would still be positive but it's made me feel a bit better :o

Well if you've got some tests left it would be a waste not to use them :rotfl:

I guess so. I am tempted to buy just one more digi to try in a week or so to make sure it's says 3+ instead of 2-3 smileyvault-cute-big-smiley-animated-075.gif;)

I probably shouldn't tell you this but I did a digi that said 1 -2 wks then the 2 - 3 wks and then another one for 3+ wks lol I was a bit obsessed and actually after my 12wk scan I did a Tesco test aswell just so I have a one to keep in my baby box of course ;)

I wasn't concerned about the pregnancy at that point and I wasn't surprised when it was positive either :rotfl:

I say do as many as you need to feel confortable emsbet :D

    Thats my excuse anyway
