DL - already posted on the pregnancy forum but so pleased the scan went well :T. Can't believe you've overtaken me and are two days ahead of me now!!

See you on the other side then xx

Hee hee - I thought I'd get on the other board too and keep up with both! Fat chance!

I'm really pleased I lost a few days! Sad I know! Nice to see you have braved the big board too now!

Doglover - my scan is on 4th March - so two weeks this Friday. I can't wait. We're just waiting for the NHS one; we could pay for a private one, see baby and then things could still go wrong. My NHS one is exactly 12 weeks so by then, things should be fine.

No idea how dates change - I suspect it's if baby grows faster than average?

    xDx

That's what I thought too. I really wanted an earlier scan but DH said that I'd still worry so we left it until now and I'm glad we did now. I shall look forward to hearing how your scan went too.

I thought it must be something baby growing a bit quicker but then what do i know?! Oh well, it is going in the right direction so that's all good!

Hi guys, i have had a terrible migraine for the last two days but it seems to be subsiding now. Was a bit worried as i normally get them before my period but the doctor says it's fine and that the hormonal changes for periods are completely different to the ones in pregnancy. I only have 7 more sleeps until my scan!
  • Thanks everyone for welcoming me so nicely!!
I'm 5+5 today, my MS hasn't made me be sick, just feel hungover/carsick all day! I'm SO hungry, but nothing I eat tastes nice or makes me better! I've already put on 10lbs, which is really worrying as I only put on 1stone at 40weeks pregnant with number 1!
Completely shattered 24/7, OH thinks we'll have a 'special' valentines evening as we're not going out, might have to disappoint him!

welshpolarbear - I was lurking on the TTC thread when you got your BFP, congrats!

B00bs are killing me! Please say this doesn't last 9months!

God, I feel so awful :'(

Travel bands are still stopping me being actually sick, but the constant heartburn (already?!), pulling & pains in my stomach, sore b00bs, diarhorrea (sp?) and awful nausea are really doing my head in now & it's only been 5 days since it's kicked in! I can only eat crisps & drink water - I have no appetite & never feel hungry though I eat to stop myself feeling quite so sick.

I feel totally derailed & all I can do outside work is lie on the sofa (I'd like to do it at work too but no chance :rotfl: ). OH working away again so on my tod until Friday. Please tell me this gets easier! If it was a bug I'd lay up for a day & bounce back but I can't have the next 5 weeks off work  Am only 7+4 today.

Sorry for the moan, hope all of you who had scans had good days :)

    C xx

Sorry to barge in, as am still waiting for my bfp, but love lurking on the pregnancy forums!

Skint_Cat - just wanted to say that i felt exactly the same when i was pregnant with ds. Was more exhausted and nauseous than i've ever felt in my life, from weeks 6 to 10, and slept for an hour every lunch time at work. I even slept on the toilet floor, once, when the first aid room was busy. I was that tired. I'd get home from work, OH would put me in the bath, where i'd fall asleep. Then he'd virtually have to lift me out, dry me off and force feed me, before putting me straight to bed at 7pm! It was horrible, but after a couple of weeks it started to ease off, and from months 4 all the way up to b-day i felt full of energy and totally fine. So hopefully you're like me, and are just getting the difficult bit out in one go!!

Loads of luck, all, and hope to join you soon!

Hi Debs thanks for your congrats! My dates were bought forward by 4 days. I find it odd as I know when I ov'd (assuming the sticks are right?!) so how can the dates be out?

When I was pregnant with my son, I was certain about my dates. Yet I was constantly told I was "large for dates" meaning my son was bigger than they were expecting. They kept putting me 3-4 weeks ahead - by my dates my due date was 20th Jan, they kept saying he would arrive by the end of December. He was actually born on 19th Jan, so I was right! ;) My health visitor explained that it's all based on averages, so if your baby measures slightly larger or smaller than average they'll adjust your due date accordingly. He wasn't huge when he was born (almost 9lb) but he was very long, and he's still tall for his age now.

So, the moral of the story is - you're probably right :D
  • omg i feel HUGE today. seriously im 9 weeks went back to work today and loads of people noticed and asked how far gone i was and then promptly told me i was having twins or triplets. ( i would love twins by the way lol) but im huge, why? this is my fourth pregnancy so maybe im just stretched a bit, but with my first i didnt even show till i was six months and my second around 4 months.

Aw thanks! Seems so long ago but wasn't even two weeks!! Time is seriously dragging! Got my first gp appointment tomorrow though - finally! :T

My b00bs are killing too (and I've barely got any!!) no ms yet but slight nausea and dizziness, and mega tiredness, along with the bloating.

Hi ladies, we're home and everything was a ok! Dates changed slightly and our new EDD is 17 August!

The baby river danced but wouldn't change position so our pictures are pretty similar. I'll see if a friend will help get them uploaded because I haven't got a clue.

    OMG it feels real now!

This is really interesting as I've been wondering when people generally start showing, I guess it's different for everyone then.

I'd be really interested to hear whether you girls that are a bit further along have started showing or when you started showing.

Im done in now, just had a nice hot bath and am so tired Im even missing Glee so I can get an early night! (It's ok I can watch it on "on demand" - phew!!)
