    hello lovelies

oooh congrats on the good news scans today you two, so happy for you!

Well I've been a right piggy and have just finished a chinese!!!!

Still getting stomach cramps but am trying to ignore them as my over panic before is what caused all the worry and the early scan etc.

am feeling really random about thigns at the moment, really unsettled thinking that the house is really grey and drab and needs brightening up and Im not happy with it at all, in fact i'd really like to move..... best not tell OH that think he'd go mad, have already told him that I've been driving his car as my car has a locking seatbelt, as the car is 40 years old, and it pulls right across my stomach and boobs which both are sore so really doesn't work, have been trying to drive along pulling the seat belt down!!

Am already starting to worry about cars and money and stuff.

Is anyone else studying? I am currently in the middle of an OU degree and am unsure whether to try and do a module starting in october, when Im due in Nov or to wait a year, which will mean Im a whole year behind, very hard when you don't know how much time you'll have...

Missy.. I go on a decorating spree when pregnant.. Last year I decorated 3 bedrooms, the hall stairs and landing and the kitchen... Re the study.. how long is the module? You'd easily manage it if you get a well behaved baby.. not so sure with a demanding one though.. they are so variable.. I did OU study when I had DS2 a baby but he was angelic.. but it really does depend on a number of things. How much time you need to study, the baby's demeanour, How well you feel, If dad will take over so you can play catch up should you need to, what course it is and whether you can type while feeding etc... If you start it can you defer it a year should things get tough?

I felt proper kicks yesterday... which I normally get about 13 weeks... ... I need a due date!!!

oh my goodness pigpen, kicks, how lovely! so jealous, I am feeling a bit icky as am only just having breakfast. my boobs dont feel as sore today as in hardly at all, i that normal?

Thanks for the advice, it is a really hard call, my OH works away every other month so I will be on my own a lot, but then I do have lots of family and intend to take the first year off work at least... not sure will have a think.

glad I'm not the only one with decorating fever, have had a big tidy up downstairs today have been up since 6 cleaning out the chickens etc, I really want to get a doppler, although am only 6w 6d, and I know I wont be able to hear it yet, it was so reassuring to hear it when I had my scan. Do you know which is the absolute best one? I really worry constantly about whether everything is ok and I know that would put my mind at rest some.

Ooooh another quick question, does anyone know any good creams to help me stop getting stretch marks? I'm not particularly big and have really dry skin, and my mum gleefully told me I would probably have so many they would join up in the middle, so I'm hoping to prove her wrong, any ideas? I know bio oil is good for after, for scars etc..... just haven't got a clue really.

As it is mainly a genetic thing nothing wil prevent them.

Skin is waterproof otherwise we would leak which is why creams etc spread on it only make the surface smoother (it lifts off the dead cells) and doesn't actually benefit the lower layers at all.

Drinking more and keeping well hydrated helps as the cells can stretch and not 'split'

If you feel the need then bio oil is supposed to help.. how they know is beyond me.. maybe they put it on the left side of tummies and not the right lol.. but any moisturiser would have the same benefits. I never used any and I have no stretch marks on my tummy at all.. though I do have them on my boobs and thighs.

dopplers.. I don't rate the angelsound one and have one like the midwives use.. but was £40 FROM EBAY I think I got it when I had Squeak so can't remember entirely. It picked her up from about 9-10 weeks depending on where she was laid and I can get this one easily and quickly now.
