thanks Lirin, ive never noticed ive suffered before so i will keep an eye and note anything down, i am so impressed with my midwife, she really has been amazing so far - does anyone know who i can tell this to? i mean, normally we are quick enough to complain but sometimes the people that do the best work are not thanked.

Bella hope it gets better for you soon and that your hard work in the house doesnt make you pay later :)

Also, forgot to mention that she is going to refer me for reflexology to help me re-align - there isnt much they can do to help my back to be honest so was just glad she was able to think of something that might help.

Have just googled the bump support and am a bit scared lol, does anyone have one of these contraptions that can recomend what i should be looking for?

Sounds like you have a great midwife puzzled. Mine is nice enough but very.....efficient. I had 25 week appointment today and took just a few minutes. Blood pressure taken, dip the stick in wee pot, gave me mat b1 form, quick prod and measure bump then listen to heartbeat, see you in 3 weeks.

Alwayspuzzled congratulations on the safe arrival of your baby girl. :D. Hope both of you as well as the rest of your family are doing well :)

Puzzled if you know where your mw is based you can write a letter to her clinical nurse manager (sorry really not sure of the official job title of senior midwife who does this job! :o). Just tell her how good your experience has been with your named mw. You could also write to the hr dept at your local health authority saying the same thing. :D

MrsS glad it went well at hospital for you and that you are feeling a bit more relaxed :D

Bella I have been doing exactly the same as you all day except I decided to start upstairs first....I can now literally barely put one foot past the other! :rotfl:

My SPD belt has a back support with 3 velcro straps coming off each side. You fasten all the straps round across the symphysis pubis joint. Some physios give tubigrip ones though.

thanks, midwife said there is no funding to buy me a belt so i need to buy my own - i dont suppose yours has a brand name on it?

That sounds like the one I was given MrsS except mine is no help at all as it antagonizes my back pain badly. :o

your midwife sounds great puzzled, credit where credits due :)

Thankfully my back and hip pains seem to have eased so am hoping it was not the onset of anything to bad just general aches and pains, I have been off work all week though so that might be why, I'm only working tomorro then not back til next saturday :) Its DS birthday on sunday hes really excited, we are going to a christening andout for dinner/tea on sunday, then to a theme park on friday so busy busy.

hope everyone has a great weekend :)

    xx

I'll have a look later - I've left it in the car.

It's not fantastic - it might support the symphysis pubis joint but it makes hip movement in the sockets really hard, so the pain goes from the pelvic joint and then you feel your hips are on fire! :o

Ours are tight and give out the tubigrip.. which makes me sore due to the high rubber content.. but I couldn't have anything which would impede hip mvoement, I have arthritis in my hips so they feel like they are on fire on a good day.

I am thinking maybe I just need shooting!

Oh, and the, I suppose, good point of the day is the scan appointment hadn't been cancelled.. even after they told me it had.. so I still have that in 2 weeks time.. *sigh* .. I was kind of hoping I didn't have to have it.. I know it is silly but I really don't want to know the sex and I know OH will want to.. he desperately wants a boy and I think he will be gutted if it is a girl again.
