He was never going to be able to take much time off ( no work= no pay) but he has promised that he will take a few days off after baby is born regardless of the financial situation. He's hoping once he starts the job he will get it finished sooner , so fingers crossed. Plus once he gets this job out the way he has one ten mins from home so he can be alot more flexible with start and finish times
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Its not as bad as we first thought , he has agreed with the client that he will work Mon-Thurs and stay on site and then travel home either late thursday night or early friday morning. So baby Lab can come between thursdays and Mondays, lol

Sounds nerve wracking lablover but also sounds like you're being sensible. would be mad to turn the money down, especially if the client understands the circumstances. I know someone whose husband works away 3 weeks on 3 weeks off or something like that. Their baby was born less than 24 hours after he got home from 3 weeks working!

Lab glad you have sorted it out :)

PP hope you get the scan re-booked ok

    Always congratulations on Olivia

Mrs good news that baby has turned :) hope that boney bum means a smaller head for you lol

I went to the midwife today - i really think i have one of the good ones :)

I asked a bunch of questions as usual - she has advised i buy a bump brace - no funding left for one for me apparently but she said Amazon has some good prices lol, asked about Strep B - she said she thinks everyone should have a test and that they arent allowed to recomend anyone for testing specifically but if i wanted one she said there was a way - she then had a brain wave and checked the swab results from the Consultant appointment i had and that was tested and was all clear :):) MIL will be happy as she has been worried about that from the start - she had it with OH's brother and didnt find out until last minute.

My blood pressure is a bit low - she said not to worry but its 90/60 and said i need to make sure i drink lots of fluids and get some rest which led on to me being told off about the working im doing and i have been told to slow down - she even wrote it in my notes - will have a chat with the boss on Tuesday and see how i get on!

She measured me and im 25cm at 24+5 so near enough perfect - although she said she is still convinced baby will be a big one lol.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Puzzled- the highest mine's been in weeks is 90/60. Drink plenty of water, have a supply of snacks, and stand up slowly. Maybe avoid hot baths- I'm banned from them unless my husband's there- I've passed out after a few mins before.

thanks Lirin, i have been feeling a bit off for a little while and have had episodes before pregnancy where i stand up too fast and go light headed so am not sure if it is normal me being slightly low or not - that said the earlier readings were 110/90 so they were much higher.

    Hi all :)

just rang docs for urine test results, they said what I thought they would my white blood cells are raised could be sign of urine infection etc etc can I do a repeat sample, I said i'm being seen at antenatal day unit every 2 weeks and they do this every time she said will speak to the doc he might just let the clinic deal with me, so in other words pointless, oh well

I've just vac'd and mopped all my downstairs including skirting boards and under furniture, i'm knackered now, just waiting for solictior to confirm late MIL's house sale is complete deffo due to be done today, I checked with them this morn, i'll be glad when its all over with

    xx

Puzzled- I generally feel slightly funny- very floaty. I've always had low BP, and there's nothing you can do really- high BP can be lowered, low is so hard to raise....
In pregnancy, I can be lying down and start feeling dizzy- there's no pattern. It randomly happens with me. It's a complete pain, but explained to my boss (the nice one) about it, as he's had to grab me a couple of times. I usually feel weird for ages afterwards- like I'm dreaming, and everything's brighter. :)

Bella- hope you get better news at the clinic
