Morning all, feeling a bit down in the dumps today :(

One of my friends posted on facebook this morning that she had a brilliant time last night, when I asked what she had been up to, she told me her and my 2 other close friends had a bottle of wine and pizza evening while watching some chick flicks. She said they hadnt invited me because I cant drink. Now I have never been a big drinker anyway so even if I wasnt pregnant I would have probably been drinking lemonade.
Turns out they have done this quite regularly but havent invited me just because I am pregnant :( am I just being over-sensitive? I am the first of my close friends to have a baby and they have previously told me they think I am to young to be getting 'lumbered down' with a baby (I am 22).

:grouphug: flower - this has happened to me a few times recently too. I don't think you are wrong for feeling left out, I certainly did. Im 23 so my friends are a similar age to yours and they seem to think my life is over now.....

Such cute baby pics :D congratulations mummies!

I thought that once you get to a certain point the midwife starts to see you more often? Im sure at the last appointment it was 2 weeks since I had been so I expected to move to 2 weeks now, however I had to make an appointment for in 3 weeks so I will be nearly 35 weeks then.
Im getting myself rather worried because Im 32 weeks and no one has yet spoken to me about my birth plan or well, anything really!

I have finally got the form to arrange to attend the breastfeeding workshop which has taken ages to get, Im not sure why they didnt just give me it in the first place rather than saying they would phone me and not doing so. Im waiting on a call about antenatal classes and the dates - not sure if they are ever going to turn up either lol.

Does anyone else's baby seem to prefer a particular side of the body to lay in? Mine is constantly to the right side. I can feel him there, his side or back and Im sure I can feel his head up there near my ribs. He moves around the general area but always stays to the right! :rotfl: Even when I turn and lay on my left side I can feel him move slowly closer to the left but he never ends up at that side lol. Im wondering when I will grow a little more as I guess he could be cramped in there, people seem surprised when I tell them how far along I am! :o

Im also not ready for his arrival, we havent even started decorating the nursery - we need to wait until we get paid at the end of the month as its been a pretty expensive month. Hopefully we will get there soon though. We just have a lot of junk to shift that we have had put by since we moved here and havent touched since! I guess if its been in a cupboard for 10 months then its not worth keeping? :rotfl:

I hope everyone (and babies) is doing well!

Yep, I know that one!!! I posted only a few days ago to discuss similar issues. It is grossly unfair :( I was 19 (almost 20) when I gave birth first time, so I know how that feels.

Well I had a reasonable night's sleep with my pelvis, but woke up to find my boobs had leaked  much to DHs horror :rotfl:

I feel mega stressed today as the ex decided to text at 8.30 to say he was bringing the kids back early, again, 3rd contact in a row he has not kept them until the correct time. I've blown my top and told him to go back to his solicitor and discuss with them what he thinks he CAN agree and commit to and not to bother coming to collect them in the meantime. It's not so much the dropping them back early that's the problem, if it was unavoidable and a one-off - it's the blatant lies he keeps making up for excuses, which are more far fetched than you would get in kids story books. It's also really unfair on the kids who must wonder why they are getting dropped at the last minute. I've always been really really flexible, but I think he's now taking the mick. I must have mug tattooed on my forehead.

I now have a headache, have had a nosebleed, feel sick and generally want to punch him in the face :o

supermaiden - my MW appointments are every 2 weeks from 34 weeks, I'm 36 weeks tomorrow :) Perhaps you'll start fortnightly from your next one? Oh I'm doing birth plan this week, so don't worry!

    Hi all,

Thanks for the advice Koala and the hugs from others :) Back is still poo but i am adament it is not going to get me down (more positive me after some cuddles and a relax with OH last night) I managed through the night to get some sleep and have been able to cope a little better today, i think its a case of me remembering what my limitations are when my back is bad as its been so long i am too used to being "normal"

Flower i hope that you are able to arrange something soon! i have been gradually relocating to be with OH since May last year and im reaching the point now where no one invites me anywhere just becuase they assume im not availiable or becuase im pg. To be honest im seeing it as a positve, when baby is here OH and i will have a completely new life and the people that want to be there will make the effort - those that dont are not worth my effort in return (she says despite the tears and upset a few months ago when i realised i was being left out of everything. I guess its all relative)

Mrs hope the kids are ok when they get home, can you contact your solicitor about OH and get him to write a letter confirming what you have told him? Im only thinking that your previous posts have made the ex sound a bit like a worm (no offence meant) and if he can wriggle out of it he might go back to court and say you are the one being unreasonable?

Hope everyone is having a lovely sunday and dodging the raindrops

Mine is lying on my left side, on his right side, head down all curled up & when I get up you can see exactly where he is as my stomach goes a funny shape.

I have the opposite, people keep saying not long to go now when they see the size of me despite the fact i'm only supposed to be 29 weeks. :o

I'm pretty sure you should be seeing your midwife every 2 weeks by now as mine wants to see me every 2 weeks already.

Maybe give her a call & ask. :A

Good afternoon everybody hope you are all doing well. :D

MrsS sorry to hear your ex is being difficult again:(. Hope you can see your solicitor soon to get things sorted though may be worth asking for a phone consultation due to current circumstances?

Flower you are not alone with friends being hard work at the moment to the extent that I have decided that it is time to make some new ones as I am so fed up with the whole situation:(......just need to find some new people who are daft enough to actually want to be friends with me now! :rotfl:

Hi KM, can I just ask a quick question?

My levels do seem to be getting better but i'm finding myself getting hungry between meals especially in the evening.

I've been told not to eat anymore than 4 pieces of fruit a day & tend to use my allowance up in the morning as I tend to eat it for breakfast.

What kind of things do you find you can snack on that don't push your levels up too high?

ETA, I think your lovely so I'll be your friend. :A

BCS. Thanks very much. :D. I usually resort to plain low carbohydrate things like a tea biscuit or digestive biscuit or a slice of cold meat as they tend to keep the hunger pangs at bay and not push sugar levels up. :). Any plain biscuit you like should do the trick though :D. I am really glad that the higher dose of metformin seems to be working for you. :)
