Good luck Benson we'll all be thinking of you!
Becky stick to your name, she has no right to meddle so forcefully. In time she will get get used to it, whereas if you change the name to suit her, you will always wish you had kept the name you really liked - and that's a lifetime of regret...
Vroom sorry to hear it, do hope bubs arrives soon for you before guests do!
Teenie and Nic good luck girls, hope you can bounce your way into labour and positive thoughts all round.
Thighs were so sore in the evening after walking around yest afternoon, then my feet were really hot too and uncomfortable. Hubby did me a cool bowl of water and I added chamomile and peppermint oils which helped soothe them. Won't be walking so much again, have learnt my lesson!:):)

Morning
Becky I really wouldnt listen to her. A year ago I told my mum the name we had if we ever have a little girl and her reply was "Youre not calling my granddaughter THAT!" and wouldnt even hear of it but I just said you know what its my baby my choice lol. We are now pregnant with a little boy but as soon as she found out about the pregnancy she was like oh if its a girl the name will be such and suchand she was fine with it! I think it just takes some time for them to come around really and realise its not their choice! I did tell them we are going to call this little fella Clarence but they can see right through me that Im not being serious, its just to stop all the name offerings! People will like any name once the baby is here and its been named, they just need the face to put to the name I think.
Dont let it upset you x
I have been having some trouble sleeping. Also trouble getting out of bed :rotfl: Husband says he has realised Im having trouble because I flop around rather than just move lol and sometimes he has to push me to sitting up position lol. Legs are being achey during the night aswell so means I have to keep turning onto my other side. Pulled something in my tummy this morning, not sure what but it kept pulling everytime I turn and this time I forgot to hold tummybefore turning and it hurt.
Have my 29 week midwife appointment tomorrow. Husband cant come as he has work and they never give him Tuesdays off so no chance of him being there. Trying to get my sister to come but she has plans so may take my mum.
Hope those waiting get to hold their babies soon!:j0 -

Can I ask you ladies - did you tell your work about your 1st booking in appointment or did you just take a holiday or sickie. I will be 11 weeks when I have my 1st booking appointment and its on a friday in may when I work. I cannot take holidays as I am term-time so midwife said I should take a sickie but wondering if I should just tell them as hopefully will get scan 1-2 weeks later.MFIT T2 Challenge - No 46

Ante-natal appointments are paid, so I would tell them so you dont lose out on that hours time. You are going to tell them soon anyway so I dont think it would make much difference. I didnt tell my work straight away as I didnt have work the same day as my appointment but I did tell them at 11 weeks.:j0 -
Becky don't worry about the name, my mum doesn't like the name we've chosen and has been offering names throughout the pregnancy but it's because she knows someone who's not v nice with the same name. Tbh there'll always be someone who knows someone which puts them off the name chosen bug once they're born it will be associated with your little one.
Are you allowed to say the name or are you keeping it quiet??
Im sure whatever it is, it will suit you LO x
Afm- well had 1st lot of gel and on the monitor for an hour!!!!! Cervix still high and far back so not expecting anything today!!
Good luck vibes to boldies and due daters xxx0 -
Best of luck today Benson! Have got my fingers crossed for you0

Ok birth plan written- what do you all think, have I forgotten anything? Its supposed to be a guide for OH and midwives.
One job done:T. Next job - pack what OH calls the "crash bag".Birth Plan
DOB:
Due date: 21/05/11- first baby
Early stages at home:
Fitness ball, walk if daytime, put some food /drinks in cool bag, text/ring OH if at work and mum.
Warm bath to help relax
OH to put bags in car and notes.
Ring hospital 6
to advise contractions have begun and how frequent- they will want to speak to me.
Eat small quantities.
Paracetamol if needed.
At hospital:
In water for as long as possible as water helps me relax.
Pain relief- as required.
Gas and air in pool.
Pethidine/ diamorphine if pain becoming unmanageable
Epidural as recommended by midwife, if pain unbearable or if
assisted delivery (forceps etc)
Positions:
Since early in pregnancy I have been uncomfortable lying on
my back.
I will see what positions feel comfortable and probably change
positions frequently.
I intend to be as upright as possible, sitting, squatting or
leaning forwards against OH.
Students:
No more than one student midwife.
Active Labour:
Only one midwife to give instructions
OH there for reassurance / humour / hand holding / offer
cold water etc
Episiotomy only if necessary and with local anaesthetic.
Birth and After:
Show us baby and whether it’s a boy or a girl
OH does not want to cut cord.
Skin to skin as soon as possible
I would like the hormone injection to bring on third stage
of labour quickly.
Feeding- I will try to breast feed and would like as much support with this as is available
Vitamin K injection for baby – Yes.
OH to contact family and close friends with news:
Baby’s sex, weight and name. Time of birth. How we both are.
OH to manage/ organise visits once we’re settled, washed etc. (Mum can come whenever- everyone else check with OH first)2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.Beautiful boys born May 2011 and October 2013
