Congratulations to those who have had their babies! :)

I'm 37 weeks on Tuesday. No signs as yet...MW said on Thursday that baby is 1/5th engaged & head down which is good as I was worried that the little tinker was still lying across. I've been advised to get bouncing on my ball though as MW has said that although baby is head down they are lying with their back up on my left side so I need to get bouncing. I really don't fancy another back to back birth after last time.

In other news my MIL hates the name we have chosen for our baby :( She has told us in no uncertain terms that it is awful...I feel a bit miffed that she would actually admit that she hates it. We really like it & so now I'm in a dilemma...Stick with it & let her hate it or have a rethink? According to her it's very old fashioned & awful. Boooooo!
I love my MIL dearly but this has really got me in a tizz!

Good luck to all the boldies! xx
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

Mine have all been back to back.. apart from Squeak who was wedged with her back to my right.. nearly snapped my pelvis in half she did!

If you like the name then use it.. it has nothing to do with anyone else in the world what you and OH call your baby! My mother hates DS3's name.. but he loves it! (Darius)

God alone knows what this one will be called.. Myrtle I think lol... we haven't even considered discussing names yet and Squeak was a week old before she had a name.. in the end I booked an appt at the registry office so we had to decide.. in less than 24 hours!

becky I would stick to the name you like regardless. It's hard enough as it is to decided on names without relatives giving their opinion.
I've kept schtuum this time round. Or I've fibbed when asked. I love the names we've chosen so I don't want talked out of it.
I'm sure you mil will grow to love the name when the baby is born.

I've been bouncing on my ball all day. My bubs was also slighty transverse. I think it's straight Down now but I'm making sure, plus it's fun :D

It's really got to me in all honesty as she really made her feelings apparent on the phone. We love it though & I'm not easily put off so we will probably stick with it & just let her come to terms with the fact. I was more annoyed that she's been telling other people & giving her opinion to them...grrr! As if it's not hard enough & then you have to put up with this!

Well done Nic...I've been out walking for about 4 hours htis morning...Boy have I paid for it this aft! Same again tomorrow too! I never learn.

Pigpen...All back to back is my worst nightmare! I was left far to long in my opinion. I'm not having that this time...55 hr labour ridiculous as fa as I'm concerned.

It's exhausting enough & then you have this little person to take care of. I don't know how you cope with the brood that you have :) You deserve a medal.

I don't do stress.. that simple.. I'll chuck a wobbly every so often but on the whole I am super-chilled. I pick battles carefully and I don't negotiate with terrorists.. easy.

    Morning all

Goodluck Benson, I hope it goes ok today.

3 days til my due date, no signs of baby yet. I'm getting anxious cos I really wanted the baby to come before my inlaws come to stay on Friday.

Labour vibes to all the boldies and the top of the list.

    Morning

All the best for today Benson, at least you know you've not got long until you meet your wee one. :)

Nic labour vibes to both of us! Lots more tightenings but they are just not coming to anything :( my tummy is quite painful (as is my b00bies) and DD keeps wanting to come up for cuddles but I just can't have her sitting on my knee and then I feel awful :( sorry having a bit of a downer today just need this baby out now!!
