    Hellooooooo

I'm still in bed, in my dressing gown, feeling very sorry for myself :o:(

SPD pain is soooo bad now, I'm so pleased I'm not having to continue working.

Lablover my 1st trimester tiredness is definitely back, can hardly keep my eyes open at the moment (I'm 27+3 today). However, I always struggle with anaemia too in pregnancy, so it wouldn't surprise me if some of the tiredness was down to that - I have my full blood count next week so I bet I end up on iron tablets (yuk).

  • I do, even though I was adament at the start I didn't want to know - I caved when the scan date came and she could tell us.....I'm expecting a little pink bundle.

Did anyone else feel slightly let down (with themselves!!) when they found out? the night I found out, whilst I was extremely happy with the colour, I felt like I'd ruined the surprise for myself? Still, it's making choosing a name slightly easier (note the word slightly!!) My hubby isn't English, so 'strange' suggestions are flying around left, right and centre!

Yes I sort of did too but I was so desperate to know I was going to pay for a private gender scan if the NHS one couldn't see properly! Im glad now though as we are really struggling for names & I'd rather struggle now than once baby is here!:D

I'm glad now too. My friend gave me a huge bag of clothes and loads of other things too. None of my family want to know the colour, so now we're just trying to refer to baby as 'baby' rather than she. So far so good!! All exciting stuff, just scary now how quick time is going :)

mrsspendalot Ive got my bloods again next friday. I wonder if I may get iron tablets aswell. I dont eat red meat and only eat chicken maybe once a week, and fish once a fortnight. My veg choices arent exactly exciting either , I have mushrooms , sweetcorn and tomatoes. So I do sometimes worry that Im not getting all the right stuff. Its so weird not knowing babies sex ,my mum has bought one pink outfit and gift bag and one blue outfit and gift back , bless.
Welcome to all the newbies , Im getting shoved right up the list !!! scary stuff
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

I'm sick of those texts! And the Facebook messages saying "any sign yet?"

No, I've had no signs of labour starting imminently and everyone hounding me about it isn't really cheering me up!

God I've been so grumpy last few days. I might get myself ready and have a walk round the shops. If I stay in this house any longer I will totally crack up!:(

I'm currently avoiding facebook in the evenings because of this! I've already had a couple of friends suggest that I put daily updates on there-can't do that though, would be so depressing!

Hope all you ladies are ok, congrats to any births and welcome to any newbies. 39+5 today and just want to go and hibernate for 2 weeks.....

    Hi ladies...

I don't get round to posting that often but I read as much as I can. I'm 34 weeks today & for the last couple of days I've been suffering with lower back pain. Yesterday I had braxton hicks on & off for most of the day too. I'm not wishing this baby here early but i've def reached the point of feeling like I'm ready

I've got the babies bag all ready but I've not even started mine yet. I'm finding it difficult as I know that most stuff I will just throw in when I know things are happening.

The nursery is all set & we have 3 drawers full of clothes. Sounds like loads but we've been given a fair bit & I pick up so much gorgeous stuff at our local car boot for silly money. It's hard to resist!

I've got pretty much everything now I need a new raincover for my second hand bugaboo & car seat adaptors then I'm done. :T Feeling very MSE :money:as I've picked up all my Next nursery stuff up in the 75% off sale at my local clearance store. I got the wallpaper,
boarder, sleeping bag, bumper, stickarounds & curtains for £42! Then the other bits I got off Ebay for very little.

I also decided to do local search for the cot, playmat, bouncer etc which are all from M&P & cost me £45,£7 & £5.

I feel very happy knowing I've not spent a fortune & my little one has a gorgeous nursery all ready & waiting :)

It's been made easier as we decided to find out what we are having this time but we've not told many people so their still in for a nice surprise.
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:

    Afternoon all,

Just had 38 week check and babies head is still free and not engaged so doctor said could be a while yet...great. Have a feeling I am in it for the long run.

Everything else is fine though which is good.

Off to cinema with OH in a bit.

Becky - sounds like you have got some great bargains!

Finally had a phone call back from my manager re my annual leave for 2010/11 which I won't get to take now because I'm off sick until maternity starts ..... and ......

I can carry ALL my untaken leave over to 2011/12 leave year :j:j:j

So pleased! She said just to have a think about whether I wanted to take it all after maternity leave, or spread it out a bit over the rest of the year, and as long as she knows when I want to take it, she's happy for me to do what suits me best! She even said in the summer when she's through from the other site she will call round here for coffee with me (she doesn't even like me!)

Wonder if she will be as nice when I ask her for an extra 1.5hrs a week on my contract starting from after maternity leave because the rules for couples claiming WTC are changing next year, and at present I work 1.5hrs under what the new threshold will be (since we had to negotiate a drop in my hours from full time due to cost cutting!) :o Oh well, I can but ask .... if not, hubby will have to find something for a few hours to fit in around studying and childcare

Oh, and I've made progress ..... I'm out of bed, showered and dressed. Not bad for 3pm :rotfl: My hips feel grateful for the extra rest though :D
