    Evening xx:)

    What a busy bunch you've been! :D

Lablover - regarding your dog and the scent, that's a good idea. We did that with Chester and was always mindful to not leave him out, and let him sniff all the new baby stuff etc....my MIL used to be hairless that we would let him anywhere near her! They're best of friends now, he's suffered no ill effects apart from slight weight gain, due to DD sharing everything with him! :D

Our hospital isn't too far from home, about 10-15 minute drive so with DD OH just nipped home every now and again (when he knew it was safe to!;)) to see to him, DD was born at 8pm so OH went home. This time my mum will be staying to look after DD, so she'll see to Chest too.

Glad the physio went well Vroom. :)

Exciting news Tickle you need to change your sig too! :D

I have packed 4 of each size (vests/babygros) Honeypop.....tiny baby, newborn and 0-3 (I have a big bag!) DD was tiny and nothing fit her to begin with, think he's going to be bigger, but I'm going to be prepared this time! :o

OMG Apricot, no way would I want my MIL there, or for a week after! I'd like to put a ban on visitors for first day this time (drove me mad) but not sure hot to go round it, let alone MIL taking over for a week. And that's sh*t about the MW appointment, don't get me started again! :o:mad:

    Love the crib Jojo. :T

Congratulations Giz, what a beautiful name. Hope you get better soon. xxx :smileyhea

Glad the scan went well Charlie and you get to meet flump sooner x :)

Hope you feel more at ease now Sharkey, must have been lovely to see that she was fit and well. x :)

Re: bras - I actually bought a D cup at the weekend! :j Told OH I'm going walk round with tag hanging out! Normally a B. :o

((hugs)) RBG. Know how you feel, I have soooo had enough now, I feel horrible today too. May take advantage of OH tonight.....:D Hope you enjoy Peter Kay x :)

Hope DS gets better soon BBM. :)

 Good luck SJP!! How exciting!! :j

That must have been really scary for your sister to have them just do it when she said she didn't want it!

Yes make sure your OH is briefed on your wishes - DH knows my birth wishes inside out and has been instructed to ask questions if he doesn't know why they are doing something.

And about nightmare visitors soon after the birth... our neighbours are hungarian and couldn't understand why we had visitors at the house so soon after the birth, turns out in their culture no-one is to visit baby in the first 6 weeks so the family can just 'be' and rest and enjoy this first few weeks together without interference. I liked the sound of that but thought 6 weeks might be a bit too extreme for people to understand!

Yeh 6 weeks is it a bit too much :D, but they do say to leave it a few days. Just can't see my in-laws taking it lightly. It's awful though, I'd no sooner walked through the door, after 2 days of no sleep, labour and a brand new baby, and all hell was let loose, pass the bloody parcel (parcel been my DD). Aaaaaaah!

    and

    http://www.boots.com/en/Bebe-Confort-CreatisFix-car-seat-oxygen-red_862978/

Tried it at a local shop, pushchair there was £240.00 but it was in cream, not a very practical colour!! Cheapest saw online was £275.00, carseat is £99.00 at Mothercare. I'm pleased to get for price I have!

How very wise and civilised. I have trained DH to tell people that we are not making any plans of any kind until after baby is here, and that we do not want to be overrun with droppers-in.

Home birth fans...my m/w said today, that if there is any chance of them not getting a m/w to you in time, and they tell you to call an ambulance then you should do so. Not because you are agreeing to go in to hosp, but so they have oxygen and the necessary drugs on hand. Also sometimes the paramedics act as the second m/w if they can't get a second one out to you.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x
  • Congrats Giz! :D

    Good luck SJP :T

:grouphug: RBG :grouphug: Hope you have an awesome time watching Peter Kay!

    Erm cant remember much else....
(o)(o) - mine are still a B cup and squishy, as I was the same last time I am not holding my breath regarding BF. Am going to give it a giggle but have bought in formula just in case.

Sleepsuits I have 6 M&S up to 1 month (9lb14oz) suits and vests, and the same in 0-3 month as DD fitted them straight away. Shameless pic of DD fitting 0-3month suit thing the day she was born. OH does think I am being overly optimistic by taking smaller baby clothes to the hospital :undecided:
    DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz
    DD1 arrived 20/05/09 10lb3oz

Congratulations Giz - you did queue hop me after all, your OH will be pleased to know :D Hope you get home soon.

But it's ok, our little girl was born at home this afternoon, I got my drug free homebirth and she is 10lb2oz born with G&a and water. Will update with a name tomorrow when we're sure :)

Ooh how exciting SJP!! Good luck :D

Teenie :D glad I could help. I have seen a few of these in TK maxx a bit cheaper, but there are loads on eBay too, got mine for about £11 and as you can wash them in the machine it will be good as new :).

Looking forwards to OBEM if I don't fall asleep beforehand!! Fingers crossed there's no annoying singers this week :p
