Re the blankets, I never got the hang of swaddling, so just put a blanket over DS, which he would kick off constantly as he was a wriggly little thing. That was until I discovered Grobags - found them a Godsend. Is anyone planning on using them from birth? I am toying with the idea - I know you can't use them for babies under 7lbs, but I highly doubt my baby will be under this weight. I found it really handy to use the Grobag thermometer, which tells you what layers and tog to use at what temperature. Made me a bit paranoid about keeping a check on the temp of the rooms for months, but I felt secure with this.
