I don't want to be a queue jumper any more - you ladies are welcome to overtake me
Well, I'm still at home and the contractions seemed to have stoppedThe reason I didn't take a bath last night, was because I kept reading it slows early labour down - and boy is that right! I had a bath at about 10am, and have just had a couple of hours kips and now I get the odd twinge and that's it. Nothing like I was getting all through the night. And I have the graph printout from the hospital to prove my contractions lol.
So what now ladies? Is it likely it will start up again? What do I do?
*Sigh*
PS - Sorry for the incredible selfish self-indulgent posts today0 -

Sending Labours Vibes Sammy. I don't know anything but taking the oppertunity to sleep/rest would be my choice
I had 25 week checkup with midwife yesterday. Everything fine :-)
Re the discussion about NHS / NCT antenatel classes a page or two back, i've just been looking into them. I don't have a clue about babies. This is my first, there is no one in the family with babies at all & i have to confess I have never changed a nappy in my life. Where to start?
I'm def gonna do the free NHS classes but i can't decide about NCT ones. Everyone tells me the NCT ones are a great place to meet other Mums-to-be but ..... I have enough friends thanks! However i want a homebirth, to breastfeed, use re-usable nappies & a sling - so wondering if this is all a bit 'hippy ish' for NHS ....=====================================

Oh wow congratulations JoJo :j:j:j:j:j
Sammy with my 3rd I had a massive show 2 weeks before my due date, loads of contractions, went into hospital and was begging for pain relief it hurt that much .... only to be told I was only 2cm dilated and my cervix hadn't thinned, so I wasn't in established labour
It was really disheartening. My only advice would be to just move around as much as you can as normal, gravity helps. Try and do something to take your mind off it. Something is happening, perhaps just slowly. Can you have a short walk, or go and visit someone for a cup of tea, or do some cleaning or something just to stay active and occupied? With my 1st I was 5 days late and fed up of waiting so I went into town. I remember being in M&S and feeling contractions, but ignoring them because nothing had happened for the last 5 days .... but it was the real thing that time.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Silly, its not at all selfish. It will start up again, but just carry on as normally as you can.

Sorry to hear things have slowed Sammy. I can only echo what Mrsspendalot says, keep moving but resting too. Go for a walk, but not too far just incase.
They will start up again. if nothing much has happened by tonight id def get a nice hot curry. Enjoy what could be your last Friday night with just the 2 of you.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

I've got a baby monitor that was second hand 8 years ago...
Cot mattress has finally arrived, and the company who sold it sent me a free fitted sheet to say sorry, so can't moan too much.
Id love another girl so heres hoping. I nearly got a carton of pineapple juice on the way back from dropping DS at nursery. But as pineapple is meant to get labour started I manage to put it back.:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -
Congrats Jojo!0
