Sammy, what does ewcm actually stand for? sorry if i'm being thick.
I had what looked like blood shot lump of snot thing 12 days ago, then after my sweep a week ago i had another, but more bloody, then after dtd on sunday i had what looked like a clot. I beleive its a sign of things getting ready, but doesn't mean anything is happening in a hurry....sorry

Back from midwife, Im still only 2-3cm but she could feel waters in front of babies head so things have progressed just very slowly. They should just be able to break my waters when I go on thursday hopefully

Thats good news, so it should go pretty quickly if you do have to be induced....not like the 4 day induction on obem last night.

When I was induced with #3 it was from having waters broken - nice and quick induction, and because I 'only' had my waters broken, they said I didn't have to have constant monitoring like you do in some other methods of induction, so I was able to move around. Feels really weird having them broken .... like you're weeing yourself but it's the world's biggest wee and you can't stop it .... and it just keeps coming and coming ..... I had to sit on a pad on top of the birthing ball to soak it up :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

If they do this, just try and keep upright as much of the time as you can, or use a birthing ball and let gravity help. Worst thing I ever did was lay down the whole time with #1 as it all slowed off and they had to give me oxytocin to start my contractions back off again.

Yeah I had my waters broken with DD as I just seemed to stay at 5cm for ages so they broke my waters and half hour later she was born :eek:

Good to know you can still move around, I guess this is the most natural form of induction Im going to get lol
