  • The seat situation has only come up once a few weeks ago it was in the post office there is about 100 seats and there must have been at least 10 free but a guy in his late 20's leaped up and made a huge fuss of giving me his seat then after a few minutes he came back over and gave me his ticket (for your place in the q for the counter) it was very nice of him but I was quiet embarrassed how much of a fuss he made over me, to be honest more than DH or anyone else I know.

Off for my scan and cervical thing, will report back.

Oh as if Im top of the bold list :(

    That just sucks!!

Off to the midwife later, was 2-3cm last week lets see if Im any further along shall we, will check in later!

No that's a good thing - it means you are more imminent than ever! Only one place you can go from the top of the list!

Good luck for the midwife visit. I'm back there on Saturday, if nothing has progressed. I will check in to see how you got on!

I am going to buy some chocolate now. I have eaten muesli, pasta and a grapefruit today so I am eating ok. Part of it is to get out of the house really.

Are full term people still driving? I have to drive to nursery tonight (a 5 min drive away) but I'm not going any further than that til after the big day (or night). I am sure I look like Parker in the car, but I am able to operate everything safely, and check blindspots, it's just uncomfortable. 30 limit all the way too, no charging about.

Bellabear I don't think I would risk it, I'd rather buy new powder than new curtains!

Ooh, I don't know whether to be excited or not?!

    TMI alert

Just went to the loo and noticed a very small amount of what my fellow TTC'ers would say is EWCM. It was only a tiny amount, and there wasn't anymore when I wiped. Do you think it could be a bit of show??

Oooh could be! Even if it is just a very small sign that something is moving in the right direction.

My show with DD & DS1 was very pale pink like jelly, and a very small amount.

With DS2 I went to the loo at 38 weeks and wiped and thought I was bleeding. I panicked and rang the delivery unit. She calmly asked me to wipe again and describe it, and basically she said it was a show. It was very bloody (sorry tmi) but the second wipe was definitely mucousy too.

Awwww, I was getting all excited after reading mrsspendalot's post and then you pooped the party :p:D

It was really weird seeing it as it reminded me of the TTC days when we used to get excited at the sight of some EWCM :rotfl:

    Hi everyone,

Sorry for the long absence, had a much needed week off and catching up as best I can.
Congrats RBG - lovely little one and he looks very content!

We found out on our scan on Friday that we are having a little boy, was a surprise as I was sure it was a girl (and have been eating lots of sweets so bang goes that old wives tale - I love sweets anyway!). we are so happy and now looking at names - think we've narrowed it down to 2 so just experimenting with middle names now...

Have bought a pram at last - the Maclaren Techno XT as we saw it at someones house on the weekend and it seems great, I just have to accept that at just over 5 foot tall almost all prams will be a bit higher than I'd like... but as this one was just 6.8kg and £165 I am happy. Turns up today from Mothercare hopefully...

TeenieD I now want malteser cake too - hell I'd even eat frozen cookie dough if JoJo had any spare!

Wendz - I must admit I have noticed that people are less polite than I'd hope with anyone who is PG - you only seem to get help/seats given up for you if you are so big you look like you are just about to give birth! I have already resigned myself to the fact that people won't help much and like you I am too shy to make an issue. However, not too far from now I will have to sit on the lower level of the bus which I don't normally do... and there are always less seats anyway - joy!

Still having lots of cravings for wine gums, never been fond of them... trying to be good but having a bag at home isn't a great idea...

I had the double side by side version of this buggy for DS and DD - found it really lightweight and good to push (I am just over 5 foot too) :)
I suspect I may end up buying another McClaren buggy at some stage but for now I've gone for the M&P Sola as you can adjust the handlebars to make them lower for a shorta*se ;)

:o:o Sorry but it is still a good sign!!

:rotfl:LOL I know though, we used to talk about it like it was a normal thing but now I feel a bit weird speaking about it!!!
