I've just been on ASOS and they've got loads of maternity stuff in their clearance sale http://www.asos.com/Women/Sale/Maternity/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=6413
I also used a code for £5 off a £20 spend from the ASOS thread in coupons/codes section of MSE (not sure if I'm allowed to post the code directly!), so i got three tops and a dress for £25 including postage. I just wanted to let you know because I am terrible as spending money on myself but got some real bargins!

I've been at home half of today with my back playing up. My midwife thinks I've got sciatica and I've got to phone a physio tomorrow about it. it flipping hurts!

My fingErs are very crossed as well Debs, sure it will be fine and can't wait for you to see your baby.

Welcome forumgrazer, I had the lack of symptoms and know how worrying it is, now I'm just glad that I got off so lightly with it :) am sure you'll be saying the same after Monday :)

Twighlight, so nice to be given maternity clothes, I had a load from friends so have only needed to get a couple of things for myself. One thing I found useful was supplementing my friends clothes by getting some normal tops from shops (mainly primark or peacocks) just in a bigger size, they have some lovely long tops that work really well with just leggings, or long t shirts that come down nicely over the bump (once you have one)

Got home last night and the baby monitor I wanted was sat on the side in our kitchen :D. OH got it from a friend at work, am so delighted, having stuff from friends is saving us a fortune and it'll all help once I'm on maternity leave :)

Hi Forumgrazer and Twilight, don't be scared and believe me before you know it you will be jumping up that list!

PC - hope growth scan goes OK on Friday.

Nic- i have most my bits for bag , just can’t bring myself to pack it yet! Still need joggers too.
Kiraroo – hope the back gets better.
Not much to report here, had an average nights sleep. Just the usual toilet trips and cramp...lovely!

    Morning ladies

I finally had a pretty decent sleep. If only I could give up my 8pm cuppa I wouldn't need that second pee visit lol.

Goodluck with the growth scan PC,hope the wee ones grown enough.

Goodluck Debs, looking forward to having you on the thread.

Welcome newbies, great news twilight on the mat stuff. It's one thing I hated buying as I wasn't going to wear them again but you def need it, so great to get free stuff.

Good news ema o on the monitor, another good freebie.

Wendz, packing the bag makes it so real doesn't it? I'm trying to get organised and keep on top of household stuff too. I've got another 3 loads of washing today. I'm forcing myself to put it all away when dry too. I had a meltdown yesterday morning. I just felt I had so much to do, and I would be stressed if I had piles of stuff to be sorted when the baby is hear. I'm going to start cooking for the freezer soon too.

  • twilight welcome!

Wish I had a video link, puppy is suffering agonies of frustration as I have turned all the sofa cushions round so she can't leap up on the sofas...she is crying with frustration..."I want my own way!!"

Did my birth plan yesterday, it says home birth-physiological third stage unless otherwise indicated-please bring enough gas and air.

    That was easy then.
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

Welcome to the newbies !!! Its scary cause I get bumped up the list , lol. Had a horrid day yesterday , very busy at work because my manager forgot it was the month end and had been holding back work for me,so I started the day twiddling my thumbs thinking I was all caught up and he came up with his tail between his legs with piles of stuff  Then OH had a client pull out of job so OH has no work for the next 2 weeks and no money. So I sent him shopping yesterday (with a list , it was only for a few things as I had done a massive shop bulk buying washing gel , loo roll , shampoo etc on Friday) He took the fornights shopping money out the kitty and came home with £10 change and 2 small bags of messages. Think he was trying to wind me up as he bought "asda excellence" range of everything and organic eveything when I had told him to go to Aldi. Was so annoyed so now I need to turn mircales out of the shopping he bought and he's the fussy eater. RANT OVER
Never saw OBEM got it sky plused so will catch up with it
Thanks to MSE for making it possible for me save to buy my new flat , yay !!

Morning ladies, well for once I slept right through the night although woke up just as tired this morning, go figure!

I had the most alarming wake up call. I now sleep with my ear plugs and eye mask on (works wonders for those that may have trouble sleeping).

I was stirring and as I opened my eyes I could just see a pair of mens legs standing next to the bed from under my eye mask. I screamed so loud and ripped off my eye mask and it was OH. He works nights and I hadn't heard him come in (thanks to the ear plugs), plus he was early so came home before my alarm had gone off, plus the room was in darkness (6am) and so I was struggling to make anything out.

Needless to say he found it all very hilarious whereas my heart was racing like crazy and the baby was going mental. Not the best way to start the day.

Hi Forumgrazer, Kiraroo and Twilight - we are a crazy bunch here but I've learnt so much from this thread and i'm sure you will too

Nic - I started my batch cooking yesterday too, 4 portions of sausage casserole currently in the freezer :A

Congrats on the baby monitor Ema, OH wants one of the video ones and the Summer ones look good so think we'll splash out on one of those.

I collected my bargain moses basket yesterday, £6.50 for basket, canopy and rocking stand, :money: although I got it home to find a mobile phone in the bottom of the basket which I'm having to post back to them. Apparently their 2 year old has a habit of hiding things :rotfl:

    Welcome newbies :)

So i've not got much left to get now and i'm seriously stumped as to where to get bubs' cellular blankets from. I've ordered a fleece one for the pram/car seat but i'd rather have cellular for the cot. I bought some for DD from Mothercare last time but they were really thin and didn't wash so well. Anyone got any suggestions? Oh... need sheets too!

I'm chuffed I managed to get one of these for bubs with his full name on it:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PERSONALISED-BABY-BLANKET-PINK-BLUE-WHITE-GREAT-GIFT-/280554206933?pt=UK_Baby_NurseryBedding_RL&hash=item41525576d5

Better be a boy now lmao! I just couldn't resist! Just took the date out for now (will probably order another one later) and got the first and surname on it instead! Woo!

Ooo Dusty! Naughty OH!!! I'd give him a good slap - or get a Vuvuzela in his ear whilst he's sleeping and see how he likes waking up with a start! (Me vindictive?! Nooooooooooooooo! LOL! :D ).

Welcome newbies (both official and unofficial ;))

Hope everyone is feeling ok this morning - labour vibes to those that need them x

I'm feeling a bit emotional over last nights OBEM - although happy endings I did have a good cry :o

Kids are back to school today and not very happy to be back :(
DD has new shoes and DS has had a haircut so they looked the part even if they are looking forward to the next holidays ;)

Hi Charlie - I got these

    http://direct.tesco.com/browse/?Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=PRIMARY&Nr=99&Ntt=cellular&N=1999998

3 for 2 too on blankets and sheets. I've washed them first and they seem to wash well.

I love that personalised blanket, may have to treat bubs once s/he is here :)
