Does anyone else notice long-standing -ve points turning into +ve ones or is just me?

I think that is just the way life is: There's sh*t and there's good things. My favourite saying is 'It will all come out in the wash'.
I believe you can always see the positive in any situation and even more so when you stop and look back at something, you (at the time) thought was negative. IYKWIM.0 -
Can anyone think of any of their own examples please?
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs

What goes around comes around - someone was complaining about me the other day for highlighting a task that hadn't been done at work - it turns out the frquency of the task had been changed but no-one told me....
but it turns out that the task not being done led to a breakdown on the machinery that very same day...
Karma, or what?
No, not really, it just proved I was right in the first place and that a stitch in time really does save nine, that we do things for a reason and if they're not done there will be a knock on effect, so no KArma, and no zen moment required.;)
I do think there are many clouds with silver linings, however, sometimes it's very difficult to see them.
My b-i-l was contacted by his ex wife, he had also been estranged from his DD for many years... I said not to worry too much about it as it might lead to something good and he promptly accused me of seeing the world through rose tined glasses.... it turned out that his ex was moving back to the same town as him, and he did indeed end up getting to know his DD all over again and spending some time with her. He never did apologise, or admit I was right, that sometimes good things come from dark places...:DMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I try to have a positive outlook now. I use to be a terrible worrier. Spent my whole time feeling stressed out and anxious.
It occurred to me one day that all the things I had been getting in a state over, had all sorted themselves out and hadn't turned out to be the big deals I had imagined them to be.
Did have to push myself to the limit to see a silver lining when my dd had a few development problems. She had to be seen by speech therapists, occupational therapists etc for a long while. But whilst attending all these sessions I built up a huge knowledge of working with kids who have special needs. So much so that I am considering training into that field. That would be a lovely way of turning a negative into a positive I guess

but I think your daughter having such a caring mum is a positive too.
You might say that a caring mum is taken as read but not always the case unfortunately. You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs
