Incontinence wear for three year old

We had to go to an incontinence clinic and see a specialist nurse who then wrote us a prescription. We have just moved from nappies to pullups as we were sent samples and allowed to choose.
I was told that to qualify you had to be in receipt of DLA.
Contact your local child development centre or ask your paediatrician for a referral.0 -
Thank you agirliegirl. I see you are in England. We are hoping to arrange an assessment but feel put off temporarily because nhslothian in Scotland, so far, say that supplies won't be provided till after assessment once the child is aged four years - then only the large nappies and not pull ups in our circumstances.agirliegirl wrote: »We had to go to an incontinence clinic and see a specialist nurse who then wrote us a prescription. It's encouraging that help can be achieved but it is a struggle coping with the system.
Thank you.

Crimson, does your wee one see a paediatrician? I have a friend who is a nurse at St John's in Livingston and she said that she definitely met kids on her community placement who had nappies provided by NHS Lothian at the age of 3. She qualified within the last 3 years.0

Hello Glaswe.Jen Yes the wee one does have a Paediatrician and your information is really helpful, thank you. The first paediatrician was in Edinburgh but now she sees one at St John's in Livingston.
Thank you very much.
