Ryanair Complaints Help

  • Have you tried your local MP? While Ryanair are based in Ireland the advertising and the transaction are both taking place in your living room so they are trading in your area. Or am I getting the wrong end of the stick?
No offence, but Ryanair aren't going to give a crap what an MP thinks about the situation.

Have you tried contacting your bank?

Before you booked the 2nd flights did you not check if you had Ryanair flights booked? See this http://www.ryanair.com/en/questions/i-have-not-received-an-email-itinerary which is under their FAQ section.

  • In my experience, the only way to get Ryanair to respond to any queries or complaints is to fax them. Anything that comes in by fax they actually seem to take seriously.

I agree that can happen yes, but the issue here is that there was no confirmation of payment either. When you purchase tickets you have to receive a confirmation almost instantly that payment has been received surely?

They cannot just go back how ever many days it was later and take payment?

They probably did take payment instantly.

But that does not count in my favour....the fact they took payment without confirming they did, and without confirming to be email until I actually rung them?

Dispute the payment with the card issuer, i.e. the bank. Tell the bank that the payment failed and was therefore not authorised to be processed at a later date.

It's a bit like putting your card into a cash machine, trying to withdraw cash, the machine declining the withdrawal, giving your card back and then dispensing the cash after you've walked away.

If you look at online debit/credit card statements you will frequently see payments that appear several days after the actual transaction took place.

The problem you have is that the Ryanair website says to check if you actually have a booked if the process fails at the end. If you did not do this and booked another flight they will argue that its your fault. The website also says that if you are in doubt call them.

They also have to confirm that the flights where booked through a confirmation email. Also you cannot call them as they dont like answering their telephone. The fault lies with Ryanair
  • The fault may lie with ryanair systems, but they have acknowledged there is a fault, and put up a guide what to do if it happens. If you have not read that guide and actioned what it says, then the fault for being out of pocket rests with you.
