URGENT HELP PLS - Trying to wire 2-port Honeywell Actuator to CENTRAL HEATING

I know it's a bit of a specific question but I just hope someone can help
CH problem tracked down to broken 2 port Actuator valve.
Had a SOPAC ZV 20-2-EB. This was wired into the same Junction box (Earth, Neutral, Live and Switched live) as the CH pump.
On the SOPAC Blue, Brown, and Green/Yellow were connected to the Jnc Box - 2 Black wires were just cut off.
Now I've had to buy a Honeywell V4043H (£81) and don't want to blow it up.
I've wired 4 of the 5 wires
-BLUE --> NEUTRAL
-GREEN/YELLOW --> EARTH
-GREY --> SWITCHED LIVE
-ORANGE --> LIVE
and I have BROWN leftover - where's it go?
Any help very gratefully received

You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an
"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs

Give us a clue. You have given us the names of all the wires you have connected, but not the name of the one you have not connected.Mics_chick wrote: »I've wired 4 of the 5 wires

Where are you getting 5 wires from? Brown is live, Blue neutral, green and yellow earth.
If you search for "Honeywell Actuator" in google, you will find the wiring diagrams needed.0 -
Just to confuse it a bit more.....It might be a 3 port diverter (3 wire) and not a Mid Position (5 wire) valve.
So the question is.... how many ports does it have and how many wires does it have?
Try plumber rather than electrician. And try posting on a more specialist forum.0 -
5 wires come from the Actuator valve : GREY AND ORANGE - according to the circuit dia. GREY goes to switched live, ORANGE goes to live from the boiler, and BROWN goes to 'C' from the cylinder stat?You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs

Correct! You may have to trace that wire back to the wiring centre/terminal strip.

I can see how it is done from the wiring diagram although I cant post a link being a newbie.
From the consumer unit, 5 is the earth. 3 is the live. 2 is the neutral.
From the element, 1 is live and 2 is neutral.
4 is not used.0 -
Mics chick. Have you got a link to the wiring diagram for the SOPAC. If you have, we might be able to tell you how to read the wiring across.Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc0
