I'm not allowed to wash our black car incase I get swirls. Suits me just fine! I do know that my dh uses Turtle Wax Ice products and it gives a great shine to the car.

Yeah thanks, but I don't want to spend 6 hours at a time one both cars.;)

I know I wouldn't either!! 6 hours is nothing to the time he spends on some cars, he has cleaned some cars for 60 hours plus!

Might want to reconsider that.... Isn't Turtle wax silicone based? meaning it gives a great temporary shine, but is a !!!!!! to remove and just layers up on the car gradually looking worse and worse.

  • Don't wash using a sponge, use a lambswool wash mitt to reduce swirl marks.

Don't wash in a circular motion wash in a latteral motion along the car, and use the two bucket method (with possibly a grit guard if you want to).

Don't dry using a shammy, use a waffle weave drying towel to reduce swirls marks.

Use a Ph neutral car shampoo to wash the car after you have had it waxed to reduce degredation of the wax, then strip the car and rewax every few months.

Yes, if they weren't it would just be a normal car wash, no?

    Great guys too, very friendly.

I couldn't work out if you meant a car wash run by Polaks (/Polkas) or a car wash with some magical whizzy polishing thing.

I don't have a clue. He says it's really easy to remove. It was recommended by someone at work who also has a black car. He's been using it for a year with no problems.

I had a look on the website and it says the Ice is a new compound so it might be different from the old stuff.

1 bucket of water with some autoglyne sheite in it twice a year works for me.

Mettalic paint needs little care apart from washing blackberry bird carp of it .

To be honest it depends on values. Should your car be cleaner than your house??, And will a bit of grubbyness affect the value when you sell it??
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
