How do members keep their [STRIKE]pride and joy[/STRIKE] essential run around but depreciating asset clean?
I'm not looking for a show winning finish, spending more time cleaning than driving, just a simple method that gives a good finish. In short minimum effort for best results.

Current car (Ford Escort Diesel) - Polish car wash.
Previous car (Astra Coupe Turbo) - 2 bucket method wash, shammy dry then 3 stage meguires polish.0 -
My brother has his own car detailing business and washes the families cars every month without fail! He spends around 6 hours on each car, then finishes it off with a machine polish. Everybody always comments on how clean and shiny my car is! The best thing you can do for your car is never, ever take it through a car wash, and don't use a sponge!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

2 buckets of hot wax, 1 sponge.
Then 1 bucket of cold water to rinse.
Then 1 bucket of hot water for wheels.
It's all done in 20-30 mins, and looks great.
I can't stand paying £5 for someone else to do it lol9/70lbs to lose

Yeah thanks, but I don't want to spend 6 hours at a time one both cars.;)0 -
Wash with car shampoo. Shammy off, 3 stage polish, machine polish, and detail any areas....
That's what my partner does- I hate cleaning the car, whereas he's a detailer.0 -
1 bucket of hot water mixed with car shampoo(all in one), 1 hose with trigger attachment..... Wash and hose at the same time to avoid streaks, roof first, bonnet, boot, then each side panel, wheels last. Jobs a good'n in around 30 minutes (even on something the size of the Vectra).
Polish if you wish, but I only do this every 6 months.
Oh and top tip, use a wet towel to remove dead insects.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Wash it, then use some Demon Shine in a bucket or the spray on version. Both available from Tesco:
