I've been to doctors and I have vertigo
(as well as my cold). I can still drive but can't do anything at height, in water or in enclosed spaces - so that puts paid to me doing rock climbing, abseiling, gorge walking and caving in 2 weeks time with my work kids!! :rotfl:

I hope that yopu recover soon. It can be very bad, and last a long time. My dad gets it from time to time. Never lasts long only a few days but it can come on very quick anytime. Its made my dad fall over a few times.
All teh best.:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0 -
...No overtime:D I'm paid up front to spring clean the house by the end of April when she returns from America so I'll just have a bit more to do than usual.
Some close friends are coming to help with the paperwork that was strewn everywhere. Drawers were emptied out everwhere and they trod mud all over the place...
Just a hopefully helpful word - fingerprint powder is a bu&&er to remove and they put it everywhere! We got burgled over 24 years ago when DS1 was 5 months old - I'd taken him to the baby clinic & supermarket in his big pram. Again, it was mainly jewellery and his Peter Rabbit money bank from his christening

tappers/halight - thanks both. I've been feeling dizzy and out of sorts for 2 and half weeks

Evening All
JackieO, congratulations to DD, hope she enjoys her new job.
Niclou - try to keep strong, thinking of you.
Flutterby, hope you feel better soon.
Taplady - that's quite un-nerving, sorry you had to find that mess.
Busy day here today, work and then a shift at the hospice. The weather here is horrid, the fence and gate of the chicken's run has been blown down - one of the posts seems to have snapped. At least the hens are very free range and I don't need to keep them shut in very much.
Just had stir fry veggies and the last of the rubber chicken for tea, quite yummy. Washing done and on the airers, kitchen has had a quick wipe over and am waiting for the hot water to heat so I can have a nice warm bath.
Got a bit of a shock yesterday, found out that a family friend has been carrying a torch for me for some years! A bit awkward as they are very good friends to all the family and couldn't have been better when OH died. What do I do now?!
Take care all and hope all the poorlies feel better soon. XX0 -

When I was teaching, some of my students learnt BSL and used to come back from the lessons and try and teach me - I'm afraid that the only thing I can remember is the difference between 'pants' and 'trousers' :rotfl:!
Had a lovely afternoon then got back home and had a mad baking hour.......pasta and ratatouille bake with cheese for my dinner, gingery flapjacks, water biscuits (first time, need some refinement but quite impressed!) and canine cookies for the doglet!
Just about to catch up with Silent Witness now

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, I have been munching the paracetamol/ibuprofen to get through the day as I really needed to go to the lecture(and i'm very glad i switched to this module, it's right up my street i'm so excited!!). Long day tomorrow, but I get some test results from the Dr- hope they find *something* just so I know why I'm feeling crummy! I hope I feel okay on the weekend as the man has invited me out and don't want to cancel again!
Need to have a bath, hope there's something good on telly tonight
