Have had a few issues with your estate agent as well, mainly concerning photos and descriptions, was like pulling teeth sometimes trying to get them to change stuff.
I think what an earlier poster says about price is true as well, once I'd dropped the price far enough I had 3-4 viewings within the space of a couple of a days and two offers. The description and photos were irrelevant, it really all did to seem to come down to price. I needed to move quickly so I was lucky in that I could be fairly flexible on that front.
Accepted an offer on 17th December with a view to completing at the end of January, am still waiting though..would just say take anything an agent tells you with regards to how quickly a buyer can move with a pinch of salt....
Oh and good luck !
Firstly, Well Done!!!
Glad you managed to get your place sold.
I noticed the Sold Sign up there on your lawn, until the wind blew it down (I am guessing)
Its so basic some of the errors that are being made with the wording / photos etc, and you are right it is like pulling teeth.
I've only been with this agent just over a week, and already I am getting seriously pi*sed off with the situation.
Things are frustrating and hard enough to start with without the agent making them harder, its a shambles.
And here's me thinking my first agent was bad!!
Sorry for the rant, its just so much hard work having to ring up / email / text the agent all the time, moaning, complaining or requesting about "school boy" errors that are keep being made
Its never ending!
We arn't in a rush to get out of here or anything, however, I refuse to "give" the place away.
If we don't generate the interest then we will simply take it off the market and hold back with a move until a later date.
Thanks again for your post anyway, like I say, glad you managed to get yourself sorted out
PS - I take EVERYTHING agents say with a pinch a salt, I've squeezed everything outta them as well, i've practically re-wrote their "standard" contract before I signed up to it.
i.e. I am on a lower commission rate plus a couple of extra little things I have put in there, obviously agreed by the agent in writing!....
Maybe thats why things are so much hard work with them!!
All the best0 -
Here's the rightmove page four the flat:

Different photos added in etc.
Stil not great, these were photos I have ended up sorting out myself.
Better shots methinks, but there is an issue with the image sizes. need the EA to sort this out.
I am getting on the blower to them tomorrow first thing.
I am chewed to death with this, they never seem to check anything they do.
It's like looking after a baby!!0 -
pic 3 and 5 are the same.
4, 6, 7 ,10, 11, much better.0 -
I don't wish to sound ungrateful but there are still too many photos of the same rooms with only slightly varying views. I'm thinking of all of those pics of the reception room particularly. Still no floor-plan and still no pic of the entrance hallway. I dunno what's wrong with the photo of the master bedroom but it looks so small that you wouldn't be able to walk round the bed.0

No probs Bitter, you don't sound ungrateful, I appreciate your comments and honesty...
To be honest, I have just sent a fairly strong worded email to my agent telling them I want this resolved ASAP.
I agree that there are far too many photos in there (they have not removed the original photos for a start)
I have told the agent I am ringing him first thing tomorrow morning at 8.30 and I am arranging to go into their offices to sit down with somebody to go through this bit by bit.
I am totally fed up at the minute, what a carry on!
I might as well be doing this all myself I reckon....0 -
Well, thats rightmove updated with the photos etc.....

Still tearing my hair out.
I am afraid this carry on may end up with me losing my snappy hair style due to going bald with tearing my hair out and the possibility of losing my boyish good looks to stress!!
You gotta laugh I guess.....0 -
Part of my job is to take photos for schedules so here's my opinion.
Picture one - I'd have cropped the edge of the house at the right hand side out, don't want to show how close the other block is until they at least visit the property. Is that whole area at the front for your flat? Quite misleading if it's not.
Picture 4 and 5 - flowers should have been moved somewhere else, they are obstructing the shot.
Picture 5 - the EA should've went further into the room so you couldn't see the doorway or crop it, makes the room look smaller.
Picture 7 - remove the chest of drawers as it looks difficult to get round the bed at that side.
Picture 8 - push the bed down to touch the other wall as it'll make the room look bigger.
Picture 11 - remove it as you have already got a garden picture where the trampoline looks much neater.
Description
Can't believe they spelt accommodation wrong, one of the most common words I use every day.
The rest of the description is adequate but basic which is probably the method your EA uses. I've no idea about the price though.
Your house is very tidy with no clutter which looks so much better in the pictures. I seem to spend most of the time at my appointments clearing clutter away to make it look presentable. Good luck with the sale.:j little fire cracker born 5th November 2012 :j0 -

Whose job is it to actually clear this stuff up before the EA arrives to do the photographs? Whose house is it?0 -

Thanks for the good wishes, we hopefully complete today, am offski to the Netherlands at 1pm for good so I certainly hope so anyway !
I would get rid of the first photo of the exterior and put the last one at the front, just think next doors garden makes it look a bit messier than it actually is ?
Anyway, good luck yourself and all the best ! :-)
I had the same problems with descriptions as well, I rewrote the whole thing (I actually cribbed it from your previous agent as I thought theirs was much better) but they wouldn't change it ! Something about misdescriptions but never mind...0
