Ah I see - so its really the manner in which the email is sent that you object to?? ok, i understand now... I just think feedback is valuable and i would ask people to give it so i can be sure I am offering the best service, would be happy for someone to email me and suggest an improvement - not neg feedback tho - lol!!

I've Been Ebaying For Nearly Two Years Buying And Selling. Yes When You First Start Off Getting Feedback Is Important But I'm Getting Ticked Off With It Now.
As A Seller I Always Leave Feedback When I Receive Payment And As A Buyer I Leave Feedback When I Receive The Items.
This Month I Have Done 10 Transactions And Have Only Been Left Feedback Twice On Payment And Still Waiting For Feedback For Others Even Though I've Left It For Them Despite Paying Via Paypal.
So On 5p Listing Day Whatever I Sell - No Feedback Until Its Left For Me.0 -
I've just checked my own statistics on feedback.
In the previous period (whatever that is?) I have sold 106 items. In that same period I am only awaiting feedback on 8 items where I have already left feedback, half of those were only posted today so obviously will not have arrived yet with the buyer.
I've also got another two items where I will not be leaving feedback as the buyers never leave any in return (one buyer has a positive feedback score of 13 yet has never left a single bit of feedback) .
I have also bought two items where I have not left feedback as I was not 100 % happy with the transaction/seller and prefer to not leave positive feedback until I know the seller is going to leave a positive for me. If they do not leave me feedback I will just let it go.

Hiya,
I’m wondering what to do. I’ve been on ebay for awhile but have recently started selling a few things. Most of the time everything has been fine but I recently received negative feedback which I think was really unreasonable. I’ve looked into ebay’s terms and the only real way I can see of getting it removed is if the seller retracts the bid. I have emailed them asking them why they didn’t contact me first if there were problems and if they would be willing to retract the bid.
I’m really annoyed about it because I’m communicative. When I post things out I let them know and they receive it within 2-3 working days!
I’ve not left any feedback for this person yet and don’t want to be nasty but feel like saying dumb-a55!
Any tips on what I can do to get this matter solved?
Thanks, Maz

As a buyer for personal things, as in not for resale, I think the dumb-a55 is a bad idea
Seriously, I look at negative feedbacks and that response would put me off buying.
Hope that helps a bit?

As I say, I'm still learning and to be honest, I think it's awful that a few remarks on a limited allowance feedback, can lead to so much trouble.
Communications, to me, is far better than how sellers accept payment in some cases etc etc. I write to the people I've been happy with and tell them why. I'm tempted to mail one about packaging, but unless it was really bad, I'd never negative any seller in feedback.
Some plank left a negative on someone I bought from a day before my parcel arrived. I didn't panic, I just read all of the feedback and realised the seller got a bad buyer.
Hope that restores your faith in buyers

you can respond to the feedback by leaving a comment on your own feedback file, anyone looking at your file will see that as far as you're concerned you did nothing wrong and they'll take into account any other feedback you have. if this neg really bothers you then maybe they will retract it if they think you'll neg them too. out of interest, what were they complaining about?52% tight0
