Smart phones -pressing key during call
I've now got one of these touch screen smart phones.
Tried searching phone for option to press key during call but cannot find.
Checked instructions cannot see anything there.
How do you press a key during call to select customer service option, as screen is blank with no keypad visible ??

As you move the phone away from your head, the screen should reappear - what model phone is it?0

Or you may have to tap the screen/press the menu button. Most, if not all Smartphones have been able to do this since the early 2000s. It just depends on what make and model it is as to how you do it.The quickest way to become a millionaire is start off as a billionaire and go into the airline business.

On my Nokia 5800 it detects when you've moved it from your head and puts the screen on. I then select the dialler icon and press away.0

Somewhere on the screen should be a dialler option, normally 3x3 little squares in an icon. Do you have something like that?====0

Previously I was trying left Options icon on bottom, then DTMF thinking that might work, but it didn't.0 -
I wonder why DTMF doesn't work.. It's the longer option but isn't it the same thing?No trees were harmed in the posting of this message;

I just searched through various options/menus, saw DTMF tried pressing that.
It only shows state after you press it, not current state before.
By default it is ON, but when I pressed it, it is switched OFF, so as I further tried to select customer call options, it wouldn't work.
I think switching DTMF Off disables the keypad tone.

Wow- hadn't thought about all this! I have an old LG Viewty which locks itself when a call is on (you can unlock it at the side of the handset) its always been an additional annoyance for me as it means its a lot longer to do the "press 9 to speak to an operator"..etc as it locks so quickly but at least its easy enough to lock! Maybe this is the only real decent thing about the LG handsets- they lock and unlock easily and its easy to do this should you need to without even looking at the handset to do so.0

If you have looked at settings & played with them, accidentally changed, might explain why time is so short or lock is enabled.0
