Here, Little and Large trash out the virtues of cycling on some tv Programme.

The van driver is met with a narrow road, with zebra markings, he had already initiated his overtake safely
I'm not surprised that you are not aware of this as your driving skills are highly suspect but it is illegal to overtake on a pedestrain crossing or whilst withing the zig-zag markings on either side.
He wasn't trying to overtake, he was trying to compete his procedure, which the cyclist was not allowing him to do.
Any thoughts of the spare room yet?;)0 -

An advanced driving instructor?
Who thinks it's acceptable to overtake someone and then turn left across their path?
Who doesn't know that it's illegal to overtake on a pedestrian crossing?
Who thinks it's reasonable to start an overtaking maneuver without sufficient room to pass safely and then swerve sideways and colide with the other road user?
Who feels someone who does all these things in the space of less than a minute has been treated harshly because he got five penalty points?
Pull the other one. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
At the zebra, why does Helmut Kit plough on, when approaching the crossing, cars are slowing, brake lights on, van slows. What does Helmut Kid do. What every other cyclist does, shoot onwards as their invincibility shall surely protect them, not.0

You don't just have to 'initiate' a maneuver safely. You have to be certain that you can complete it safely before you start.
Your knowledge of the basics of driving are so woefully inadequate that I'm beginning to seriously doubt that you have ever passed a driving test.He wasn't trying to overtake, he was trying to compete his procedure, which the cyclist was not allowing him to do.
You've now lost it completely.
Either that or you are five!
A driver is responsible for ascertaining that he can safely complete any maneuver he wishes to undertake.
The fact that another road user did not slam on his brakes the instant he started to overtake cannot in any way be counted as mitigation for the van drivers appalling driving. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

That is an absurd comment in no way based on anything I've said or any of the observable facts of this case.
You are clearly one of a small minority of drivers who feels threatened by this new technology and just wants to lash out. :rotfl:There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -

Who doesn't know that it's illegal to overtake on a pedestrian crossing?
Who doesn't know that it is illegal to undertake someone, when all the brake lights show the traffic was slowing down? Or is it one rule for cars another for bikes?
Who thinks it's reasonable to start an overtaking maneuver without sufficient room to pass safely and then swerve sideways and colide with the other road user?
Who feels someone who does all these things in the space of less than a minute has been treated harshly because he got five penalty points?

Take it as you see it, I am not in the situation, that I need to lie.

You don't need to but your almost complete ignorance of traffic law would seem to imply that you do, nonetheless. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0
