What does it mean when there are LOADS of houses in one area up for sale?

Hello! I'm looking for a house in London and about 90% of the houses I've found are on sale in Abbey Wood, Thamesmead and Plumstead. I've looked around google for the 411 on these areas but I can't find any conclusive info. My guess would be that the area is undesirable for some reason or another and this is why people are…
