yes an agent friend of mine got one to see, and I popped in to look at it. it's free, tacky, but free. lots of advertising, and to get one the Agent has to tell the Buyer that they can have one but only if they accept incoming calls from Virgin and Eon I think. WOuld I want one, sure, it is free.

what we dio not know is how much spam post/calls the buyer then gets.....if they do, then not a good way to start a spam free household, and the Agent then gets it in the neck for the cause of it all.

    time will tell.
My posts are just my opinions and are not offered as legal advice - though I consider them darn fine opinions none the less.:cool2:

My bad spelling...well I rush type these opinions on my own time, so sorry, but they are free.:o

    Hi all,

Just wanted to help you all out and explain the mystery behind these boxes.

Currently - there are 2 types of boxes:

Royal Mail redirect boxes - these have recently been discontinued.

Home Move Boxes - been around a year this week.

The small boxes with cans of fanta and a few leaflets are the Royal Mail boxes and are only delivered when you redirect your mail and usually delivered months after you move.

Home Move Boxes are delivered by Home Move Box themselves and partner with about 75% of the UK's estate agents it will have the estate agent logo on the front of the box.

The way to get a Home Move Box is to ask your estate agent to sign up with Home Move Box, FOR FREE! and when you get your move date - they tell us and we send out a box direct to you. It costs them, or you, nothing!

Our boxes are 2ft by 1 ft and full of products and vouchers/online offer codes. Worth about £50 currently! products and offers change month to month but always get a lot of free full size products in there.

There is no junk mail either - our data is sacred - the only companies who are allowed to contact you are Eon, who are offering you a better deal on your energy and Virgin who offer 6 months half price broadband and TV! The rest of the companies who work with us are only allowed to put things in the box and sometimes feature on our email newsletter. That is it.

We never give our data to anyone. We understand that no one wants to be bombarded and the whole point of our business is the Home Move Box itself and what it contains and the fluffy feeling it is hopefully giving the home movers when they need the things in the box.

If there are any questions or you are moving and want a box please call: 01908 30 37 66

    Many Thanks

    Ema Brunton

    What does 'partner with 75% of the UK's agents' actually MEAN, since it sounds really improbable that you've secured this proportion of the available market within one year.....? It could mean;

You've supplied the boxes (since a startup 1 year ago) to customers of 75% of the agents in the country?

75% of the agents have signed up for your service but haven't necessarily had the boxes delivered?

75% of the agents in the country have shown an interest in your service?

    Which is it?
  • Thank you Andrea.

googler: We supply Home Move boxes to the house-movers who move with approximately 75% of the UK's estate agents - We have exclusive partnerships with them. The boxes for them are free and for the end user. So as you can imagine they are keen to sign up with us. We have secured these relationships with a fast and free service.

I have been advised that I am not to post anymore about Home Move Box as it is marked as spamming so I would ask you to call us directly using our website if you have any further questions.

    Kind Regards

If the mods read this, I don't consider it spam if the HomeMove rep posts direct answers to specific questions. If anyone is paranoid enough to think that I'm trying to raise their profile by asking them to justify their claim, then I'll stop - but it seems that 75% is a remarkable figure given that they only appear to have been supplying these for one year......
