We bought 3, all with on/off switches under the DVD drive, no USB ports and all working ok. We live rurally so signal strength can be an issue but as I said previously connected directly to a main aeriial feed ( vis the booster ) the signal is fine, if we add an RF extension we lose most channels. :j

2 TV's delivered both are faulty

Seems there are 3 versions of this TV doing the rounds
    1 has no on/off switch
    2 has on off switch
3 has on off switch and USB slot

Has somebody had one with the usb record function ???

Ours both had no on/off switch but not a problem to us as we have those energy saving gizmo's which cut the power when you switch to stand by (they only use 1.5w on standby anyway)
The box does say it has them and shows it on the picture though.

Both of them tuned in fine and a good picture, we only have digital so can't comment on analogue picture.

I've used the offer on the leaflet for the extra 3 months guarantee making it 15 months instead of 12 just in case any problems ;)

All in all quite pleased and think they are a bargain at £84
It's not just about the money
  • I have received version 3, has a USB but only seems to play rather than record.

How do you know what version you have - does it state on box or label on back of TV?

(I have one of these £84 TVs but not opened the box yet!!)

It says on the end of the box but to be honest I would wait until you open it to find out. Ours is the model ordered but it says there is a power saving on/off rocker switch on the side of the tv, there isn't.

There is a sticker on the back of the tv saying what the model is.

Ours says that too but that is not the model number, the model number is underneath that one ie LCD-22 208 for yours which is the same as ours, not sure if you have an on/off switch on yours or not though.

Geekily, after googling I see there is / was a X22/14A, X22/14B and X22/14C all listed as 22-208. It also seems UMC (?) have teh same TV and actually sell it under the X22/14 name.

So, maybe there is a version A, B and C each with slightly different specs / improvements??

    Oh the joy of google!!

The one delivered to us yesterday has the ref number LCD22-208E.This one has the on/off switch located below the dvd slot.

The actual model number is X22/14E
