it is tiltable, and all of mine had stickers on the front advising that the main on/off switch is on the side on your right as your looking at it. The standby is on the remote and on the top.

    Hope this helps.

Yep, we have looked there, it says just below the dvd player slot but there is nothing there.

Can see the standby buttons and I have managed to tilt it.

Just seems strange not having an on/off button.

Picked mine up this evening. I'm taking it back at the weekend. The analague picture quality is below a decent standard and the volume level even when on 100% is far too low.
I bought it to replace a standard 4:3 LCD in the kitchen which is wall mounted on a variable swivel arm. The first problem I encountered was the screws were not long enough to go through the bracket and into the back of the tv!
Serves me right for not viewing it before purchasing.
Oh well, at least I will be £84 better off at the weekend

Really at 13 our Tv is rather loud and can be heard in another room, we have to keep it at about 10.

Even our 37'' technika TV in the living room never goes above 25 even with 3 kids causing all sorts of mayhem.

I cant comment on the analogue side as we have only ever used them with freeview / sky boxes.

Maybe you have a faulty one. You cant blame tesco for your new TV not fitting a fixing that was meant for your old TV, its down to you to check.

Well I am def going to have to buy a booster aerial as we can't get any freeview channels tuned in and the terrestial is only decent if I play around on each individual channel.

After saying that although we only live about 1 mile away from a tv transmitter we never get a decent signal on freeview tv's.

The telly is in the dining room which we hardly ever use so we don't have an outdoor aerial in there.

Can anyone rec a booster aerial please?

    Ta.

Ok, I was trying to tune the channels in whilst I was in the lounge, they wouldn't tune in.

Just took the tv in the dining room and decided to have a go in there and managed to tune about 20 channels in which have a perfect picture.

    So we are getting there.

    ;)

I didn't think it was too loud either but then I was in the lounge with the main tv in the background.

Took it in the dining room to tune in and it is a lot louder in there.

I ordered this tv and the car charger as recommended to get free delivery. It was a bit of an impulse buy so jumped in without thinking as I have wanted a tv in my room for ages. We have no aerial so after I ordered I rang virgin media with the intention of getting another box installed but they said it would be £40 installation. I rang Tesco and asked if I could have a refund before they dispatched it and the lady was really nice and cancelled and refunded order there and then.
However it was delivered yesterday and hubby signed for it whilst I was out and the refund hit my account this morning. I now have the inconvenience of having to ring up and arrange for them to collect it. I hope they don't make me have an all day slot.
  • my dd's are very pleased with theres. no on/off botton , just standby but hey it was a bargain !

Ours arrived yesterday. The on / off button is down the right hand side of the TV. A rocker switch.
