Have to say my HG eye make-up remover is Lancome's Bifacil for sensitive eyes - great after a heavy night when you can barely see to get the slap off your eyes :D. Yes, I know it's expensive, but I usually get it in the run-up to Christmas with a GWP and a 1,000 points - one elderly relative always gets Lancome for Christmas so I buy the goods and get the points for myself. Or like last year I managed to bag a load of half price mascara/bifacil/eyeliner Xmas Gift sets with my points. 6 went on presents, 2 were all mine!
  • Sorry to hear about the job Roshy - but it sounds like things might work out for the best for you! I think going to Glasto first is a good idea - I went last year for the first time and loved it. Also gives you time to use up your stash before you go ;)

I've been very good so far this month - but I think I may just have transferred my addiction. Has anyone heard of the Chalet School books by Elinor M. Brent-Dyer? They are school stories and were written from the 1920s-60s or thereabouts. There are over 50 in the series and I've been half-heartedly collecting them for a long time - this week I seem to have been pursuing this in earnest and have had 4 delivered already and another 4 winging their way to me!

I've also been deciding which toiletries to take to London, which to leave to use at home (most of my S&G lot) and which to leave for now and bring down later. I think the S&G Wash Almighty from the value pack is staying at home - I don't want my housemates thinking I wash in Fairy Liquid!

  • I def will not need to but any shampoo for a loooonnngg time got x9 1L bottles Matrix Amplify shampoo

Crumbs, Runnerbean17. If you wash your hair 5 times a week using 10 ml each time (roughly two teaspoons or one sample sachet per wash) you should run out sometime in October 2014.

Well, I bought a bottle of this woman at the car-boot sale last year and thought it was great! Told my DH to try it and he liked it too. Told him to get another bottle if she was selling more and he decided to buy every bottle she had :rotfl:

Not sure if it's worth telling him I'm not so keen on it now

    Evening everyone

Just had a lovely bath using the Vanilla shower gel from L'occitane - had a travel size from Xmas 2009 so thought I should use it up. I was going to save it just for showers and then I know it has been mentioned on here about using shower gels in the bath and also a lot of talk about vanilla products. Anyway, foamed up nicely (not too foamy but enough) and smelled divine. L'occitane do the best vanilla IMO. Also used the matching shea vanilla body cream and would recommend their body butters they last for ages. Feel sleepy now - bye for now:)

I remember those, I used to love all those boarding school books. Hope this isn't the start of a 'school stash'. :D

I'm a fan of L'Occitane's vanilla. I have the vanilla room spray and it smells gorgeous (not at all sickly as you might imagine).

Evening all - and welcome to bargainbetty.

Well.... went shopping today to get a few bits for my DD's birthday which is coming up. She has recently moved up to Liverpool so will need to send her pressies. I popped into Boots and took advantage of the Dove offer - it is already a third off then with the voucher it ended up being around 28p. I like the one that shows no white marks. :D

So an IN to report, and also a UU - BS Lavender body lotion - WIBA - I don't think they sell it anymore, and I have loads of other stuff to use up. It came in a pump dispenser so will wash it out and decant something else into it. I did like it though it went in well and wasn't sticky. :)

Rosydoshy - good luck with your new application, I am also on the hunt for something else. Part time in the week as I tend to do my Nursing shifts at the weekend. If you get the chance to go to OZ do. I have been 8 times - I have an elderly Aunt who lives in Perth but have travelled around too!! It is a great place and every city is different with it's own charm.

Still need to put all my stash together so I know what I have actually got - :o

    All the best everyone.
