No Buying Toiletries in February Challenge

Hello there  another wayward newbie to join in if that's OK?
I know it's late in the month but have slunk in from the grabbit board after purchasing the BS offer and realising I am out of control and cannot say NO!! (especially after someone broke my resolve-you know who you are!!)
I feel I am in the right place as I have to admit to being a secret lurker since January! (Been too scared to post) You are so supportive of everyone's achievements, share in their sorrows and are gently chiding when someone falls of the wagon!! I would love to see the length of the naughty step!
So make room on there - I'm a coming and I've got a big b*m!
Well, you know in the media they always measure height in "Nelsons Columns" and area in "X times the size of Wales"? Well the naughty step is the length of several Nelsons columns and is at least one "Wales" I reckon!I thought that too but then mine does stand at just under £1,000.00.
Having seen that list, I'm not surprised!juliebunny wrote: »:eek::eek: Is this due to volume or expensive products??
Have you not seen Lynsey's EPIC list? She, without question, is currently the thread record-holder! :rotfl:
Sawan what a totally rubbish thing to happen - to be honest if your ex is that under the thumb of his parents, then you are far better off out of it. I echo the dodgy hugs already handed out.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'm ashamed to say volume, I have about 400+ products in my stash.
I posted a list of my stash the other day and there was so much I had to post it in two posts :eek:Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

Has anyone received their label via email yet? The way the free postage works is that you email BeautyBay.com for a label which will be emailed to you. This offer is only open until March 1st, and I have my shoebox all packed up and wanting to travel - I'm looking forward to seeing it go, even if I can't buy anything to replace it.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Ooh brilliant, Lynseydee maybe you can open a shop and put vouchers on Groupon? Yes I do remember seeing it. Must get round to listing my stash, it's a great way to stop that annoying thing where you buy something only to get home and find 3 already lurking in the cabinet!!
I was thinking about my stashing habit today (I have a long communte.) I think that I am missing out on enjoying what I already have by constantly craving new things. Have decided to use my sinful BS voucher to get things I don't already have in any shape or form (I don't mean just that I don't have in this brand!) - going to try the Aloe face range - serum and night cream - if anyone has tried it please let me know - I had a cream tester and loved it and the reviews on their site of the serum are good...Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Hi madwife28, am a fellow bs sinner *hangs head*
Do any of you Avon ladies know when the HydroPro Jet Wash teeth thingy will be available to buy online? It just says 'notify me' at the moment and I really want to try one! Seems a reasonable price.I want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -

One UU to report: A rose soap which I've kept in its packaging for 3 years and has been sat on my desk. Finally used it, it was a 'natural soap' from a Lush alternative shop down King's Road. WIBA? Probably not, first I would have to remember the name of the shop, also I don't think it was all that natural despite the rose petals embedded in the soap because I felt slightly itchy after each shower. At least I've cleared some space on my desk so it's not all bad.
4 ins to report: Bought 4 half price Garnier deodorants from superdrug which were heavily reduced. These will last awhile so don't feel too bad and it would have been ridiculous not to buy.
Sorry to hear about your OH Sawan, that's really awful!0 -
And hubby has informed me tonight that he's leaving half an inch in the bottom of everything, cos he said its costing him a fortune when he gets a shower
:p if he carries on i'll start charging him for using bog roll too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
love this! i'd make a fortune if i charged my OH for loo roll. He's used to his mother getting the terrible, tiny, thin, rolls which barely last two visits but we have nice stuff and he still uses loads.0 -

I'm the same, most of my stash is the same thing but just a different fragrance. I was terrible at buying something out the Avon catalogue just because it was new. Unfortunately new things came out quicker than I could use them up :rotfl:
Although I am still a bit like that I now ask myself whether I would really like it and not just buying it because its new and a different fragrance. This has helped even though I'm buying stuff I don't really need.
I think it's an acomplishment in that before I used to buy from Avon every campaign but since my order on 15th February the last time I ordered anything was 23rd October, so despite the huge stash I'm hoping I'm heading in the right directionDid owe £9,951.96
