  • 2 days in and I nearly faltered....I nearly gave in to the M&S perfume offer with 25% off. I had heard that some of them were similar smells to more high end fragrances but then I realised I could just walk into the shop and try the perfume before buying them and not liking them!

And I also remembered I am ebaying some perfumes that I bought on a whim last year and didn't like and closed the site down :T wahey!x
  • Just sold my Lush Butterball shower gel over on the Lush forums....thank goodness i really hate that stuff! So i guess thats an OUT!
  • First Feb u/u - and it's a good one. Laura Geller Spackle, had it for ages. WIBA - no. I don't see any difference in my face with or without a primer.

Second u/u - Prestige mineral powder. WIBA - no, it was cheap, but I prefer Bare Escentuals. Have been using it over foundation.

Welcome Minerva Windsong ... what a lovely stash, full of things I would be sooo tempted to try, had I not made a pledge to spend no cash at all this year. (In case anyone is wondering and hadn't read, vouchers and presents will take care of anything I need.)

I just had a happy thought, I'd thought about asking for a few bits and pieces for my birthday, which is May 15th, but clean forgot about Mother's Day, that's late this year, (April 3rd) which is good as I will have used up things by then, hopefully!

What is the lush forum- I've heard a few people mention it now. I adore Lush stuff....just going to broooooowse....:A

EDIT: Just reading the forum about the LUSH website having been hacked between Oct 10 and Jan 11 - aargh. This is going to make me have a serious re-think about online shopping there and anywhere else....could help me with this challenge in an unexpected way.

Some pretty impressive stashes on here, hands up who wouldn't like to have a pamper party at a few of the people's houses listed here!

BTW, BlondeAmbition posted on here that their Mango BS Body butter had gone off now - I'm panicking now in case bits in my stash go off - how old was it? How long have people had this in their stashes and it still been ok? Panic panic....
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Hope you are all staying off the Grabbit Board! Tara747....how is that Molton Brown offer going to help your No buying toiletries for Feb:rotfl::rotfl: (PS I'll try to look out for that code but I've got a very bad memory - personally I find that stuff massively overpriced - do you have any favourite items you would recommend....)

    Eeek! Rumbled!!!
Recommendations, um... I like the rosewax cleanser very much, and am tempted to try the papain exfoliator. :)

I did go to Boots for the 90% sale but didn't buy any toiletries, just a Subbuteo mug, keyring and cufflinks for my brother, 5 packs of Christmas cards (which I will give to my mum to put away for next year as I have STACKS of cards) and cookies (also for my mum). :D And I paid with points!

Also, how much do people have in their 'emergency fund' per week/month? I'm thinking that might be an idea for me, with the view that it would either roll over or go into savings if I didn't spend it.

    Welcome minerva! :A

What do you mean by an emergency fund btw?

Lovely to be reminded of the pink rose candle philosophy again mcculloch29. :)

I have had to buy Shampoo, toothepaste and deodorant. But other then those, in my grocery shopping yesterday. I should be able to get through February without spending again.! (I hope). Even though one of my daughters raided my makeup case yesterday!.

Am reporting a UU: Pantene Pro-V Hairspray. WIBA? Perhaps, if there's no Silvikrin which I prefer.

Also, 2 OUTs; an OPI Nail Envy with free remover and a Nails Inc varnish, which I wrapped up with a crystal file I saw on reduction ages ago, for my neice's birthday. She'll be 14, and at that age my mother gave me a manicure set in a case (remember them, anyone?) and some clear varnish, to encourage me to stop biting my nails. Worked; have had manicured nails ever since. DN doesn't bite her nails, and goes out with full war paint on!

A SPLUTTERER is some Essentialy Yours Face Scrub. I've been using face scrubs and face packs for years now, and I'm still not sure they make any difference!

I love reding all your posts, keep them coming. Keeping track like this really makes you think! Off to change signiature.

Prima mag arrived today with free sachets of tressemme shampoo and conditioner....always useful for a night in a hotel as the stuff in hotels(well the ones I can afford:rotfl:) are not always very good.
they also have a book of money saving tips this month

Both Prima and another mag I had on direct debit now say it will be going up from £12 a year to £20:eek::eek::eek:they point out it is still cheap compared to buying in shops(yes but we don't get the freebies:()but I decided to cancel the dds as a/ think it is too much of a price rise b/ can get them elsewhere with ipoints or similar and c/ never seem to get round to reading them as too busy on MSE threads thesedays:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Finished a Britney perfume today - don't know what its called, it was a gift a few years ago, in a blue bottle? I wouldn't buy it again, but it was better than expected!
