Hello thevicster, long time no see! Welcome xo
In that case you will fit in well here! :D

Welcome to the newbies, and welcome back thevicster - good to have you back with us! Sarah glad you've got a diagnosis - at least when you know what you're dealing with you can start taking appropriate action can't you.

Pudsey I can't imagine there is a great deal of difference between bubble bath & shower gel - although I think the Avon B/baths are slightly more liquid than the shower gels so might be a good idea to put into a smaller bottle or ideally one with a pump dispenser on it to avoid it getting spilt.

My Avon Dry Skin SOS handcream gave a splutter last night - I will be sorry when this one dies as unless it comes through clearance I won't be able to replace. I suspect in due course they will do an intensive one in the range but not at the moment. The Olay Serum is still spluttering, as is the Avon Cashmere Finish foundation. I have spares of both of those.

Forgot to declare one UU last month too - a mini Estee Lauder Lucidity Loose Powder which I found when I cleared my dressing table drawer out a few weeks ago. WIBA? - it was really nice, but I don't think I like it any more than the Clinique one I usually use, and the Estee Lauder is a lot more expensive in comparison, so probably not.

Hi guys  Good to see you here!

Mingle - great stash! and happy belated birthday!

No ins as of yet, but there will be a few things turning up from January spends! Will try and get a stash list/picture together on my day off!

Off to catch up on the rest of the thread now!

    Just nipping in quickly.

    No ins - woo hoo.

    Outs/spluttering:
Clarins body concentrate serum - wiba no but will look out for it as part of a gift with purchase. It was lovely to use but no doubt it's expensive. And just checked yes it is £36 a tube: http://www.boots.com/en/Clarins-Renew-Plus-Body-Serum-200ml_640220/

    Catch up later :A

One little UU- D&G Light Blue sample bottle. WIBA? Definitely, but I have soooo many others to use up first. Its certainly one of my favourite perfumes though :)
  • morning all! hello to all the newbies, well done on joining us!! :T and I think I saw it was somebody's birthday - please excuse me I can't remember who, it's not out of badness or rudeness, so many happy returns!

I have rescheduled my hair appointment from Saturday to tomorrow so hopefully i'll have gorgeous tresses for Friday :rotfl: i'm a tad worried about going from a reddy brown to blonde again but I'm definitely leaving it in the hands of the experts!

I have a UU - a Benefit Bad Gal i keep in the car WIBA I don't think it is as good as everyone makes out (sorry!) I've perservered with it on numerous occasions (at least 3 tubes) and don't think it is worth it, maybelline and max factor are my favourites!

I also have a splutterer, S&G Sit Tight WIBA I don't think it really done much, tingled probably one out of 10 times! But I probably am looking for a miracle cure...

On that note, back to fitness training tonight (help me!) and after that i will come home via the chip shop (it's ok, your metabolism keeps burning on high for many hours after the exercise ;) saves me the guilt of having it on another night :rotfl: ) and have a long relaxing bath, shave, moisturise, hair treatment, face mask, moisturise, fake tan, PMNW & PMTNW and watch my big fat gypsy wedding !!

On the job front thanks again for your wishes, I wish I knew each of you 'properly' and give you all a massive thank you hug, I haven't got round to telling my friends yet so I do feel like i'm unintentionally bottling it up, and this is a bit of an escape! I did get a call yesterday from another job which is a 25 min walk from my house and has a really good package so have to see if I get shortlisted for the interview now! I do absolutely 100% believe that everything happens for a reason so I'm not down about it as strange as it sounds but just have to refocus and secure something now, a new challenge if you like!

I'll be popping in intermittently as usual, especially as I have absolutely NO enthusiasm for my work this week :rotfl: I am also preparing to use the last c 75ml of a BS Rasperry Puree Body Lotion i have sitting on my desk before I leave at the end of the month, so I can (hopefully) have a new bottle or open my S&G Hand Food for on the desk for a new job! :) I think the big tub of vaseline will struggle though! :rotfl:

Have a lovely day ladies xx

I have tried applying the pink rose candle philosophy and, when we were going out with my DDs the other week for my birthday meal, youngest (8) was going to wear a tiara (bless) but I saw her put it away. I asked her why and suggested that it would be such a waste to have such a beautiful tiara and leave it at home in a drawer, when she could be wearing it and look gorgeous at a local, but lovely, restaurant. She wore it :) and looked lovely - and I thought of you lot :T

Thats lovely, bet it made DD's day??

My savings/cutting down are doing well, although I think OH needs more working on..... He hasn't grasped that we're not spending unless its necessary  might need to resort to drastic measures to get my point across :rotfl::rotfl:

On another note, I have a 10 year old son free to a good home this morning???? :T
Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015
Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

Thanks for this info - I'll have to er just pop to the shop in a mo to er get my er lotto syndicate ticket. ;)
Leaves me the dilemna though of another one of my NY Resolutions - to not buy any more magazines (or books) until I've read everything I have stashed at home already...:(
Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Hi I am definitely in for this month. I have had a bit of bad news today and found out that I am getting made redundant (I was half expecting this, hence me applying for jobs for the past month or so) so I really need to keep expenditure down and fingers crossed I find something quickly.

    Good luck this month girls!x

Thanks :) , I have an assessment day for a job I am dying to get on Friday but don't want to get my hopes up(!). This is the final part of the process as I've passed all the other interviews and tests etc. It is a complete career change but the skills needed are the same ones that I use currently in my soon-to-be ex-job.

They have told me that it will consist of a 45min personal interview, a 45min interview regarding the role, job shadowing for a bit and a project within a group (they are accepting about 20 people for the intake from this day) relating to the job, so very scary! I hope it goes well but I do believe everything happens for a reason so perhaps my being made redundant is the thing I needed :o

Aaah, good luck! Hope it goes really well for you. :T

Wish I'd bought the big tub of Elasticizer when it was 30% off at New Year on HQHair!!! How do you apply it? I am going to use my little 20ml up before deciding whether to splash out but don't want to do it wrong. TIA!

There was 30% off at New Year?! This thread may be a bad influence sometimes, but it's a great source of bargains too! :rotfl:Gutted I missed that, ah well :p

  • Morning all!
I've just been through my stash and made a list and it's a little bigger than I thought and a majority of it is opened! Made the resolution that I will only open something when I've finished the previous one.
On that note my Lloyds pharmacy order arrived (shampoo for the household and ordered in January) and I may have ordered a Your Organics Cleanser and Moisturiser at the same time ahem! :o But they've given me a free product so I've now got 2 moisturisers so in the spirit of the challenge I have put them away for when I've used up my current moisturisers.
On the plus side I've took out some things from my stash to list on ebay so at the very least I've neutralised the INs :)
