If people are looking at places to donate this scheme called Give and Makeup looks good - and if you send it off by the end of the month it's free post - ideal if you don't know where to donate to locally.

This link takes you to a blog with the details: http://www.lipglossiping.com/2011/02/give-and-makeup-now-is-the-time-to-donate/

and here is the blog of the organisation - http://www.giveandmakeup.com/

I can't vouch for it in any way but if you have lots of things you're looking to rehome in this way it might be worth investigating so thought it was worth sharing.

I've no uus to report. But since I have been using LEs foot scrub on my feet my feet are much smoother. Am using the boots body butter atm too which I am enjoying using. I have the vanilla flavour and it smells lovely.

Does anyone know of a good body scrub for the knees? Noticed that mine are looking a bit dark and dry.

I keep meaning to try the LE foot scrub. Must try to remember when I next order something which may not be for a long time as I now only use the Instant Boost Skin Tonic (just opened a bottle) and Daily Eye Relief (only have tiny tube on the go but have some Boots Vitamin E Eye cream to finish off first). Emma uses C&P but may be converting to S&G wipes as I have these from the tote bag and whilst MrM loves the body wash I've only just bought him a stash for Christmas. I love the S&G Spa body scrub.

Sorry, when I asked this i meant the smell of the shop not individual products, it's very strong and gave me a headache when I went in:(.

I can't go in Lush for this reason.

It can be very strong - you certainally know when you have one in your highstreet !!! Im similar with the Yankee Candle shop in Poole - I cant stay in there any longer than a minute without feeling very sick and getting a headache - not too bad with lush though that could be because I dont live very far away from the factories,so get regular wafts coming over !!!

YC are another passion/obsesion/addiction of mine. I just have to have the new fragrances when they are released. I also have stash of candles to work through.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Would it work better if you tackled the blackheads after a shower rather than before? Just thinking the warm steam would open the pores.

Havent tried the Sanctuary, but I love Avon's thermal cleanser. Wonder if that's been discontinued now - dont recall seeing it in the book for a while.

I know, should have done it that way round. :rotfl:

My face does look brighter today after using the microdermabrasion stuff, might get some more with another skinnie!!! :T
It's body brushing and using a body puff with ordinary shower gel rather than scrubby ones. I also use Silkymitts to sandpaper my legs.

Well, that's what it is. :D

Really I should save money by buying very fine grade sandpaper instead of Silkymitts. I bet someone, somewhere will have tried it :D

My ex OH used to do my feet with sandpaper:rotfl: It was lovely. He'd do all around the heel and any hard spots on my big toe, then he'd slather them in lotion for me. He turned out to be a complete **** but his foot treatments were AMAZING!!!!!!

I do body brushing when I remember and always feel really good afterwards. Must keep my body brush in a more visible place so I remember to do it every day! :)

went in the pound shop today, why did i spend ages looking at shampoo's and conditioners? I've loads of them in my boxes!!!! Thankfully i walked away. I did get two talc's though so i don't to pay supermarket or high street prices.

Was having a thing today and the only things i think i need from Boots (but not quite yet) is Sactuary Salt Scrub which is my HG product. Trouble is it's so expensive, i was thinking i'll have to find the cheapest way of buying it so that when an offer comes up i know it's a good offer. I always seem to be too scared to try the glitches (if there are ever any) and am usually too slow anyway

:rotfl: at the online tutorial idea. It would have me wagging my finger at myself in the mirror, saying "No!" very firmly and if necessary slapping my own hand!

It's basically just saying no to myself. No matter what. No matter how much of a bargain something is.

It's very simple - but far from easy!

Weirdly it's not my HG's that I find hardest to resist. Special offers come round a few times a year so I know that if I miss one now there'll be another one later on.

It's the new things that I fancy trying that I find hardest to resist. :o:D

Mineallmine's list really inspired me. If I have more than years supply of something - then I really don't need to buy any at all now, no matter how bargainous it is.

A spare of my HGs bought at a good price is one thing, but I don't like having a big stash of things to use up. I find it a burden and hate the clutter. It breaks my heart if something goes off.

    On another topic....

My daughter and her friends have been having problems in Superdrug again. When they go and test the products using the testers the sale assistants have been very aggressive and rude towards them, just because they are teenage girls.

I think this is crazy because teenage girls buy more Barry M and MUA etc than anybody!

Anyway, I took a bunch of 18 ladies and girls in there after school today and we all made each other up completely (eyes lips and cheeks) from the testers and left without buying a thing.

As we walked out each teenage girl left a complaint letter on the counter which contained a printed photo of her make up collection - Superdrug brands to the fore, plus a superdrug carrier bag full of perfume, toiletries and cosmetics receipts. (We'd spent the weekend going through every bag and coat to find them!)

I get that some teenage girls are troublesome, but they need to find a better way of dealing with the situation.

:heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls Sorry for being a bit awol. It's lovely to have been missed Kaz! :) This is such a great thread that I like to sit down with a :coffee: and read it properly, but if I leave it too long it kind of gets away from me and it's too late to reply to things from a week ago!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well done Jacks on taking a stand.

    I feel the same way.
I'm almost certain that no other nation demonises its young people the way that we do.

Totally agree and is highlighted in the use of mosquitoes’ that are put outside shopping areas to stop young people congregating there. It outputs a high pitched noise which only under 20 year olds can hear!!! Outrageous and noise torture!! Talk about discrimination solely based on age. This would not be tolerated if it was any other group in society – people would be up in arms about a breach of human rights!!

I think it depends if your hands really need an intensive product or not. If it's just everyday normal use, you could get more pleasure from something more fragrant and beautiful! This has quite a "treatment" feel to it!

Does the smell bother you? I used the hemp body butter once (from a glitch), had to eBay the other two I'd bought as it STANK. lol

Welcome Sawan82 - you'll probably recognise a lot of us from the B**ts offer thread, we've fallen off the wagon spectacularly in February :rotfl::rotfl::D

I went to boots today with my skinnie and I bought................ nothing :A Dont see the point of the wipes, only 25 in a pack!! I was humming and ahhing over the skincare stuff so in the end I didn't bother...... a first for me :money:

But............. I am bidding on some body lotion on ebay, so might have another in to declare in the morning :( worth the naughty step though, as its L'Occitane....

Rosemary - I love Harrogate, i'm jealous of your break.....

I've just remembered OH bought me an evening at Titanic Spa for Christmas, going to have a look when my voucher expires :D

I can't warm to Superdrug, dont know what it is about the place, so unless i'm going to get something thats really cheap, I tend to avoid it like the plague....

Has anyone ever heard of Caritas????

It's the lack of points and glitches at Superdrug that does it for me. I only go in if there's a fab offer on.

Yes, I know Caritas well. Why do you ask? xo

Hi and welcome to Sawan, we have met before as well (you know where). :D :rotfl:

PS - Jacks, will you adopt me? I might be a bit old though!

Thanks for the Benefit tips ladies, think I will try out the blushers I already have in the Powder TIme collection first then decide! Or I could just buy some Elasticizer or UG instead:D What's the Primark highlighter called Roshy? I don't get chance to go to Primark very often, but I do have a gift card!

Yorkielass, thanks for the link, great idea! Gutted I had a clear out a few weeks ago though :( Still might have a few bits to send though :) Edit: just seen that they accept shampoo and things too, I have lots of those things!

And, sounds like you had a fab time in Scotland, I love Edinburgh too. (Prince's Street in particular too :D) Took me 7 hours to get here on the train though. Was well worth it though!

Hi Kaz! Post some pics of your dining room when it's decorated, I'd love to see it xo

What did you mean by your eBay question 'how much are they usually?
Hi Tara, hope you had a nice holiday. I woke up thinking, Ooh, I forgot to say hello to Tara, how rude of me!
I'll try to get pics up after it's done. Managed to get the back wall painted white today (3 coats- gah!) and as I had the roller all white and the tray full of paint and a white brush, I went and painted the downstairs loo while I was waiting for the wall to dry off enough for me to do yet ANOTHER coat. So I spent a good 4 hours doing that. It will need further cutting in tomorrow if it's dry enough (don't think it will be actually as I've pulled the dehumidifier into the dining room for tonight.
Tomorrow I also need to get the first coat of colour onto the dining room walls (3 of) and all the cutting in done. DH will try to paint the coving when he gets home. No way am I painting coving after the walls are done, I'll wreck the walls. Hopefully we'll be at wallpapering stage by Friday night. IF we are, we'll get the kids sorted and into bed and just chuck it up. We're very quick at wallpapering.
I meant how much was the actual rollerball jobby sorry :o.

EH (or anyone else who knows...) a friend at work says she uses the Avon room fragrance as a reed diffuser. I managed to pick up some reeds the other day and wondered if you could give me a link to the fragrances?
Anyone else who knows, can you get the top off a spray atomiser perfume thingy with pliers? I have that rose thing from M&S. Not my fragrance really but would be fine as a room scent. The bottle would be good too if I can get the labels off as it's little and square and quite funky in an unobtrusive way.
Worked out that we've made almost enough from our ebay sales to pay for the dining room decoration, my new bedding which DH hates and I love http://www.matalan.co.uk/pws/ProductDetails.ice?ProductID=31364&redirect=true :D, the 4 new pillowcases and the 8 new pillows. We'll be about £25 short. Will total it all up when the sales are through and everything's been posted.
Had a lovely pampering bath this evening. Scrubbed so much I tingled, moisturised and was going to PYNM. Only I'm sick of painting so I didn't :rotfl:.

Right. Sorry for the epic, mainly off topic, post. I shall tootle off and catch up :o.
