885 products???? Hubby would kill me.....

Just been reading about Foxy-Lady over on the grabbit board (Boots offers), she took some bits back to B**ts without a receipt, had the money put on a giftcard then got arrested for return fraud.... (she is accused of stealing the goods then taking them back!) its shocking, peeps could lose their jobs for stuff like this hanging over their heads....

    I really feel for her.....

:eek:I took two packs of their own brand face wipes back this morning, on the off chance they might take them back, no receipt. I bought them on 3 for £3 but really didn't like them (far too dry for my liking). I'm so pleased I went straight up to a sales assistant to ask (who had seen me walk in the shop) and actually said to her I was concerned they might think I'd just picked them up of the shelf:eek::eek:. Anyway there was no problem and I was buying some foundation (which I needed, mine has been on its last legs for ages) and they knocked the £2 off the foundation but reading this just sent chills through me.

I think I may have spend some time on the naughty step very soon. I've just found a shop on Ebay that has stock of the big bottles of FCUK Pure body wash & lotion. This seems to have been discontinued:( Boots have the minis of the range and the 175ml of wash and lotion but no scrub, I looked on the French Connection site and they're only listing the lotion and hand cream. Looks like its being run down. Typically as soon as I find something my skin and I both like its discontinued. I have lots of other stuff to get thru but the HUGE bottles at the prices I've seen are too good to miss out on:o Aren't they?

I'd say these don't count. Should always stock up on discontinued lines. I bought a second bottle of a favourite OPI colour recently because I think it's been discontinued.

    no ins/outs to report

question for you all - where do you store your loot of beuty goodies,? I feel I have them taking ovey mf flat , got a container in the bathroom / container in bed room for makeup and drawer of stuff and a bag under my bed!!!

I have a plastic four drawer container in my wardrobe. Top drawer is full of travel sized products, second drawer is full of body washes, lotions, moisturisers, third drawer is full of nail lacquers (fourth drawer actually hold clothes). In my bathroom I have my products in use out on top of the cabinets and also have some stashed in a bathroom cupboard and bathroom cabinet.

    Hello everyone!

SJP - love the way you so casually reported you have had a baby girl and then listed your toiletries misdemeanours!! I had to read the comments from the other people to be sure you'd actually given birth (especially as I call my cat my little princess!) - many congratulations!! I guess you can advise us on baby products now - some baby products are brilliant for sensitive skins and I use Milton fluid for cleaning my kitchen!

I have a hmmm - got a small plastic bag put through my letter box this morning asking me to tick a box and put it back out tomorrow morning if I want to try out a full sized sample of Nivea - whilst I like a freebie, this just seemed a bit odd - did anyone else get one?

    Congratulations from me too SJP.

I've recently had one of those surveys through my door and as a reward I got a small bag of Thorntons Continentals.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

forgot one UU earlier in the week - my batiste spray. WIBA?? yes, though havent yet.

also finally finished the nasty gold sparkly body lotion stuff. WIBA?? Not on your nelly.

tried the ginger body souffle from the spa set my friend bought me - think i have new foot cream, its horrible!! (only the smell - it smells like plastic!!!)

scary stuff about the Boots returns....
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup
  • Well, in good news I finished a Ted Baker Second Scent Shower Gel. In not so good news, I have succumbed to the Molton Brown voucher in the Times, the Body Shop voucher in the Telegraph and the free carbon eyeliner, also from Body Shop....Eek!

Few little uu to report -

fcuk ruby body spray (bought to get the gwp :D) - nice fragrance but I think a little expensive at £2.04, especially when Impulse is so often on offer. So would maybe buy again if on offer/to get gwp

tigi (anyone know how that is pronounced?? is it like tee-jee, t-i-g-i, tigee? I have no idea!) love, peace and planet conditioner - really nice stuff and gorgeous smell (ginger, mandarin and lime) but does seem expensive for what it is and I *THINK* my hg shampoo and conditioner is scandalous or umberto gianni pure beauty. The shampoo will be finished soon too

s&g flake away - wouldn't mind buying again as I do like it, but again seems expensive for what it is - I'm sure results would be as good if I bothered to use my exfoliating gloves with shower gel! Still have a few scrubs to get through though!

Colgate toothpaste - I like it, but have no brand loyalty and would buy whatever is on offer

Can't remember if I said already, but great stash lyndseydee!

And happy belated birthdays valm and trudij :)

Wow - I thought I loved shower gel! Would like to know the size of bottles - hope they are not all litre size ones:eek: :D. I added up all the mls of shower that I had unopened once - sad I know:o - but helped me not to buy anymore and now if I do feel tempted I only buy 75 - 100mls bottles (travel sizes). But I am doing well and resisting so far even though L'occitane are launching a new Plum Blossom range soon -which I know I will love:(

No UU's but did give my friend the Boots Royal Jelly trio of creme bath, shower cream and body lotion (100ml sizes) as she had run out! Can you believe it some people actually run out of shower gel -

SJP - congratulations on the birth of your baby girl -wonderful news!

Belated birthday wishes aswell to Valm and Trudij :)

    Bye for now.
