10w40Semi... Yeh can get 205litres of it from VX for £235ish so knocking on the door of pound a litre ... It works out dearer than the Carlube stuff usually in 5litres so seeing what price the carlube stuff works out at... Then I'll see what the Oil supplier in work can do it at when I go back in Wednesday.

And your right not that much in it per litre between 20 and 205... Less than you'd expect I think...

But Its gone up..:( Checked Trade Club website for part numbers etc before pricing...

£270 for 10w40 Semi.... Confirmed by checking TC website.. So if you're still getting it for £245 which was the old price on TC then well done...

Anyone know who anything about EXOL oils? And anyone confirm Unipart Oil in fact Fuch?

I've just done the "oil run" I'm pleased to say.
Another 20l of the 10/40, and 10l of 20/50 classic oil from Halfords.
Although I was reading Costco do 25l of Chevron for about £30.

Don't know about the unipart oil, but I would doubt it would be the same blend. It's too easy to leave out the expensive addirives, or at least cut them down in the unipart batch. Having said that, it used to be known as a good oil. I still use Unipart oil filters on a mini we have.

I have just been quoted £140 plus VAT for a major service from my independant mechanic who I trust - this is for a 1.6 petrol Renault Megane.

It's normally i think around £140 for a gold service, but if have done at time of mot it works out about £120.

we've got an 02 plate renault espace. the renault dealer wanted double for same service , we still get stamps in the service book, although not main dealership stamp.

Our service is due next month, hopefully ti not gone up too much.

You also have to remember that as a car gets older, 9 years in your case the main dealer service history carries little or no real weight, as the cars approaching zero value, (without offence) ;)
