Hyundai coupe

From the prices Ive seen I think a 2005/06 plate would be a bit too expensive. I think 2002/03 stretching to 2004 is more realistic. Although If I don't see one I'm completely happy with I'm willing to save for a few more months til I do find one.0

Bit later than I expected but getting My Coupe tomorrow. 2004 plate with full service history, and just had the cambelts changed.0

family friend has got one, he loves it except when it comes to service and brakes then he cusses and tells it he wants a divorce ROFL.
driven all three versions and didnt like the suspension on the 1st version, found it rode like horse and thought i broke my back in it it was that hard a ride the gen1 dont like superchips either the ones you plug onto the side of the ecu, they tend to fubar the fuel ratio.0 -
well ive been looking for a while and this has just had an mot with the brakes changed, and as i said, full service at the 60,000 mark.
Won't be modifying it in any way major so touch wood, all will be ok!0 -
They are a nice car to look at, decent enough to drive and have really good spec.
The best ones were the F2 Evolution spec.
2.7 is a joy to drive, but the 2.0 is more mainstream.
Engines go on for ever. But the dash board is like sitting inside a lump of coal...0 -
When I was looking to buy a car last year the Hyundai Coup! was on my wishlist. I think the 2.0 model is seen as the best all rounder, the 2.7 V6 providing only slightly better performance and worse fuel economy.
I am more envious of Hyundai Coup! owners than I am of any prestige German car owners. Yes, I'm a bit odd.Generation Rent0 -
I kinda want one. Lot of cars I kinda want though
Need an unlimited supply of money and a big garage. Any takers?0 -
I used to have one, gen 2. it had around 40k miles on it. I needed a new clutch (although that was partly my poor use of the clutch at the time). That was expensive. Only other thing really were the electric windows at the front were intermittant. I think the gen 1 is an ugly car though
. about 30mpg for a 2 litre. v6 not that much faster.

the v6 provided a better torque range, rather than bhp, noticeable weight difference in cournering too was really front heavy, ive not noticed any majour mechanicls with them other than the brakes can be a bit fiddly to fit with an easy going if a bolt seizes or snaps then that turns it into a mare to do and few extra hours effort and labour.
i heared that a set of ebc pads and brembo grooved and drilled gives you more miles to the braking system on the front anyone done it?
only ask as family member been quoted silly money at the moment to do where he lives in scotland and has asked me tto see if theres any upgrade that will last longer.0 -
