  • I've been a bit slow off the mark this month.

Up to NSD # 3. Hoping to achieve another one today, no planned spends :)

Jinty hope you enjoyed the King's Speech. I thought it was a brilliant film. I even managed to stay awake. More than I managed for little fockers last Wednesday. Missed about half an hour of it. shocking I know. I must be getting old

    Have a good week all.

Thoroughly enjoyed the film - Colin Firth was great but I thought Geoffrey Rush was brilliant! He should get some award for supporting actor!

Wow Elf, your jewellary is lovely - it's really really pretty - nearly ruined my NSD too :)

I agree - I also really loved the purple bracelet, at £6 its a VERY good price. Well done Elf on getting yourself up and running - good luck!

    Good morning everyone!

Wont be a NSD today as I have a lunch with some colleagues at work for a 40th birthday. I dont normally go to these things but the birthday girl is someone I've worked with for @ 16 years.

BDINI - glad you got the wallpaper you liked even though it was expensive. Sometimes you just need to indulge yourself and I think you are allowed since you have saved yourself loads in other areas. If you love it, then have it and enjoy it! Anyway, its a fraction of the cost of the wallpaper on DIYSOS last night - £250 a roll:eek: ( But is WAS lovely;))

    Have a lovely day everyone:)

    Have a lovely day everyone

  • Hi :D

Today was supposed to be a spend day as I really need a few things that I have been putting off buying (new belt, new kettle, carpet cleaner) but it is not to be today......I am pleased in one way and annoyed in another! Anyway, my DD is off school as I think she *might* have chicken pox. She has had it before, but two spots popped up on her chest yesterday that look a lot like chicken pox. So I thought it best to keep her off school in case it is :) Anyway, the point of me waffling on is that there is no way I am venturing out today because she is only 5 and I obviously won't leave her at home alone and I also won't take her out in case she infects anyone...so
NSD 5 for me, after that prolonged essay :D

Also, thanks for asking, spoon, it was sooooo lovely to see Dh again...he has only been away 5 days, but really missed him so much :) Anyway, off to clean and administer hugs, kisses, possibly medicine etc etc! xxx

ETA - that is 5 in a row, as well :D (although I didn't have a mini challenge, maybe I will next month!)

  • Morning all

Just caught up with everyone's weekend activities, what a busy lot! Had a great weekend, catching up with friends.

Hoping for NSD#3 today, can't foresee any spends. Weather is not great at the moment, so the urge to venture out at lunch won't be great :D

Have a good Monday, if there is such a thing? ;)

    xx

Yesterday was NSD #2 even though I went out to a friend's birthday lunch. That money had been put away last week and I even managed to bring some home. Money I mean, not lunch :rotfl::rotfl:
  • Morning all, on this horrid windy morning! Not going anywhere today and didn't spend yesterday so that is NSD 3 & 4 Am really struggling this month to stick to my budget but will have a look to see if I can flog anything on ebay to make a bit of extra cash! Hate this time of year-feeling fat and flat! Can't wait for a bit of warm weather and some sunshine :)

  • I am really not doing well so far this month. Things keep cropping up, so just when I think I have a NSD under my belt, someone in the family reminds me of money they've spent. However, am determined to keep on trying, and building in some of the suggestions on this thread. I will get there! Baby steps!

  • Had a very busy weekend, and it takes a while to read up to date on here if you're not on every day!

moneypenny2k - you're right I could do with cutting back on the diet coke, however I have just given up (except one a month!) buying magazines, so one thing at a time! Doing this is hard enough, I never thought magazines could be an addiction, but it feels like giving up smoking all over again!

Unfortunately had very spendy time this weekend, mainly due to lack of planning and peer pressure! Spending £50 on clothes when had £0 budgeted is not a good idea! Although it has been a while!

Hopefully will be NSD today but I will not claim just yet...!
