NSD no 5 today...also making 5-in-a-row too, never managed that before, really chuffed!! :j:j

Tomorrow will be a spendy day though. We have pretty well run out of fresh veg (eggs, milk etc), and as I am paying my therapist when I see her tomorrow, I will organize some food shopping too.

Spoon - no, I wasn't overly happy with the match result, though the Scots played pretty well...3 tries...and all in one match tooo!!! :rotfl:Here's hoping they can win a few matches over the next few weeks. DH & DS2 are off to Twickers for the Calcutta Match on March 13th....would have loved to have gone, but DH only got offered two tickets....not sure how my back would have held out either. :o

Right, off to get the freezer list typed up as well as the two-weekly meal-plan...trying to get organized!

I would have done this earlier, but I've been busy cross-stitching the Elegant Lady...yes, really!! Will post piccies tomorrow.

Have a good night....still windy here...but oh, so warm!

  • Number3 today, finally :j

Feels a bit odd declaring a NSD, seeing as i have spent hundreds of pounds this aft, but only on tiles ( to the price of supposedly "cheap" tiles), & a basin as it was in the sale, i had a 15% off voucher only valid for this weekend & it will fit the space perfectly, & i did decide at the start of the month that bathroom spends didn't count otherwise i'd never get the DIY done trying to collect NSD's! :D

Now where did the weekend go, can't believe it's Monday again already!!

  • Well, what I expected to be a NSD ended up as an expensive one! :(

We are going to center parcs next weekend to celebrate my birthday as well as a friend's 40th. Have been asking DD for the past fortnight to check if her swimming costumes still fit, and she finally told me today that they didn't  Was having a really busy day, but had to go out to get one- looked in loads of shops- nowhere had any- until a sports shop where they were all £15+!! Had to get swim shorts for DS as well. Can't believe how much they cost :( Am cross becasue could have got them much cheaper if she had told me early enough to order from somewhere online.

Oh well- here's to a few more NSDs this week to make up for it!

  • Hurrah NSD #2 :T:T

Had a small spendy day yesterday as I needed to get a couple of bits for sis's lunchbox this week. But behaved myself today and hit number 2 :D Only 8 more to go, which with the shorter month and the fact I'm away for a week of it, will be challenging to say the least. But it'd be boring if it were too easy, now wouldn't it? :rotfl:

Spoon - have I missed something? Are you now debt free? If so, get thee on to that Roll of Honour pronto! Unless you are on there already in which case shut up Nargle and go back to sleep.

If only Nargle, but I'm jumping around the place as I've realised I've only got four months to go:j:j:j:j

    Thanks for asking

Well, what a horrible weekend, all that rain and wind.. yuk.. and there I was thinking that Spring was on the way.. yeah:(.....

:mad: Nowhere had the same design cheaper, so i came home with about a million possible samples, spent ages sticking them up & considering & then decided the only one that would do was the expensive one  & had to walk to the DIY place at 7pm in the pouring rain as i was convinced if i didn't get it there & then the world would end (or they would sell out!!) Only need 3 rolls though, so could have been a lot worse...

Those egg poacher pans are great, we use ours loads.....

Poached eggs for breakfast naturally, i am such a child when it comes to playing with new purchases!!

Ooh .. a purple kitchen, I like the sound of that.. tell me more!! I like bright colours, my kitchen is orange and lime green:D

Well plum more than purple, the cupboards are actually just glossy cream, but i have an amethyst glass splashback, & all my accessories are plum, including the microwave (& the egg poaching pan!!)
Lime green & orange sounds fab, must admit i agonised for ages over some fab bright orange cupboards i saw - the only thing that stopped me was the price!! I find a bit of colour really cheers me up, especially in the kitchen when i'm making my first cuppa of the day!!!

    Hi BDINI

Well I guess if you can't find anything else that you love as much and you only need three rolls, then you have to go with it. And you're right, having made the decision you have to go and get it, otherwise it's bound to have sold out completely...

Well what's the point in buying something new if you don't use it. Hope you enjoyed the poached eggs:D

I like the sound of your kitchen, it's right up my street:j. I love a bit of colour in the morning as well (as you might have guessed by the colour scheme) it certainly wakes me up:D.

  • Hello everyone!

I managed to put off the food shop yesterday, which means I've clocked up 6 NSDs so far and I've reached my mini challenge of 6 NSDs in-a-row! Woohoo! Unfortunately, the fridge and cupboards are completely bare now, so I'll definitely be food shopping later today, so today will definitely be a spend day.
Slowly slowly catchee monkee...... Finally got no. 2 caught - been a funny old week so I'm expecting that next week will start to rack 'em up.
Love your idea of "catching" NSDs. Does anyone have an emoticon with a catcher's net? That would be cool.

    :)

Unfortunately, there's a chicken in the net, but if you squint hard enough it might look like a NSD!?! ...

Have a good week everyone, and good luck collecting more NSDs!
