  • Not a NSD today :( Italian day in the canteen always hits me in the pocket! I also had to buy my train ticket.
    Thank you competition posters!

    Spend day for me.

Even before heading to Lid! to see if I could get hold of some of the 'special offer' sports socks (which I managed - 3 packs of 2 pairs, for a total of £8.97) I checked out the Whoopsies as I left work.

    Came home with
2x puff pastry steak & ale pies @ 25p each
    2x 180g BM Chicken Breast @ 19p each
    1x 700g pack cooked cocktail sausages (approx 70 sausages) @ 29p
    1 litre jersey milk @ 19p
1x 500g rice pudding (made with clotted cream - and very nice it was too ;)) @ 19p
    1x pack 2 chicken & brocolli bakes @ 19p
1x 1kg pack sunflower spread @ 25p (great timing for this as I was going to have to pick up some spread this week - and was looking to spend £1.20 on 1kg of the Mr T value spread - having just about finished off my last Whoopsied pack which cost me 49p!)

Total (before staff discount) was £1.99, so there's 1p change plus 19p discount gone into my sealed pot (and £1.80 into works tills)
And if I deduct the £1.20 I'd planned to spend on spread, I've really only spent an additional 80p on all the rest :D

Original cost of that lot should have been £15.81 :T

No NSD for me today, I'm now counting the times I spend on crap/ciggies in the shop as need to give both up and get fit!

Oooeer! Somehow I managed not to spend anything today - how did that happen?

That means I am now on 7 luvverly NSDs!!!

Tixy - don't go, even 1 NSD is an achievement sometimes!

BigMumma - come back soon, all is forgiven!

Spoon - we haven't had a gang night out for a while, what shall we organise? Suppose it will have to be the end of the month - any ideas, anyone?

    Evening all!

ebsaver - I'm with you on that too - getting better and planning spends but sometimes it all goes a bit Pete Tong too. :o

Tixy - you're more than welcome to stay with us for the rest of Feb - there's still an entire week left so that's plenty of scope for a NSD or two. And even if you don't get one, thinking about what you're buying is always a step in the right direction. No one is disgraced on here :grouphug: (well save for a few of us who get to share Spoony's kippers :rotfl::rotfl:)

Beanie - hope you're ok - not like you to be tired and a bit down :grouphug: for you too. xx

Cheryl - I'm always soooo jealous of your whoopises, I never seem to catch anything as fab as that.

Well, I've finally hit double figures this month, Spoony NSD #10 please! I did buy foil for the sarnies at lunchtime but OH 'donated' the 99p for that (err...welll...left change on the chest of draws from the fitba yestersday...OMG! this challenge has turned me into a tea leaf!) well the foil is for his sarnies too so I don't feel guilty :p

Dress saga still ongoing, got a message to read after this, but I've decided if it entails purchasing dress numero trois I won't count that as a spend since the defective one will be going back. What a palarva....it's like the mattress all over again...I think i need therapy (though not of the retail kind :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

I never used to do as well from them - then I started working there ;)

And most of my shifts (not a Tuesday, when I generally finish an hour earlier) end at around the time they do the final reductions for the chilled section - so it's a case of leave shop floor, clock out, visit to little girls room, coat on, back onto shop floor, [strike]shoot[/strike] meander gently over to the chilled reduction section, and keep fingers crossed someone was available to make a start on them as I clocked off.....

Sometimes they're short-staffed and it doesn't get started for up to another half hour - so I don't always hit lucky :o

Kerri~Hope the dress saga concludes soon & in a good way

cw~you seem to be very very lucky with all the whoopsies.
Just being in the right place at the right time I guess.
We've only got one supermarket here & very very rarely get discounts like that sad to say.
