  • hmm, well, as I half expected, today was not an NSD ... went for a family meal out so couldn't really back out :( So if I want to hit my target, I can't spend anything until March :o

So that's me aiming for 8 in a row ... I've looked through my calendar and I have a quiet week planned so it could be do-able. It'll be tough though!! No food shopping is needed, packed lunchs for work every day is do-able. I'll just make sure I don't go out after work at all (I'll concentrate on getting some college work done - silver lining :) )

Looking at the first page, it would seem that I last posted on here to report NSD number 2  and as I am reporting NSD NUMBER 11 today, that is a lot of posts to catch up on ............ but I have tried tonight ............ I got up to page 14 then gave up :p but will call back and catch up some other time, I hope

My Mam is still doing OK in the continuing care home up North - eating well and laughing/giggling her way through most days - I got back on Thursday from another week up there and, other than her being like a bag of bones, was mostly pleasantly surprised at how she is doing. However, we have been warned that the next infection might just be her last one and things could change at any time, so we are just taking it as it comes and enjoying our time with her :D

    Hello to:

beanie - hope you enjoyed your outing today:)

ifwishes - a big, and overdue, thanks for keeping BigMumma’s post in view. There are lots of people viewing this post and it helps to give them an idea of what we do and why - hence lots of new recruits over the past couple of months. Thank you, really appreciate your help. :A

Tropicalmoments - glad you’re pleased with your new purchase, good luck with getting it working properly:)

BDINI - I know what you mean, when you have a bit of money there’s no desire to spend and vice versa - murphy’s law I think it’s called... You’ve changed a lot over the past few months, though, you can get through this patch. The new job and lots more money is just over the horizon, keep that in mind and you’ll get there (((((hugs))))) x:A
Recipe sounds good, would like to try that, if you don’t mind posting it?

fillyfop - 8 in a row is achievable, keep going, you can do it!:)

And no 16 for me today, only 2 more to get now... yay!!!! :j

Front page all updated now, see you all tomorrow.

    ‘night everyone

    Good morning all!

Well me and OH were knackered last night after all our moving & DIYing so we were in our kip and out for the count by 8.30:eek:
I must say it felt like coming down to a new house this morning so it was well worth it.:) This is the year we are going to spruce the house up, nothing major, just a few tweaks here and there!

Back to work today and, sods law, we have an office move today so I will be packing up my desk (again) Mind you, after the weekend, it will be a cinch!
Only taking my fares today so no spends intended.
    Have a lovely day everyone!:)

  • THanks for your advice solvent.
I keep forgetting that I can put money aside for things, but I do it for my lunch and break snacks all the time!

Not sure I can make the full 18 days this month (miss it by a day if I'm good...), but at least I know I will have spent less money than I would if I'd not done this challenge.
  • Morning all

Trying to catch up with the board from the weekend but I think that will have to wait until lunchtime or tonight. Had a great weekend with my friends in bonnie Scotland.

Now I have my DH with me all week :j And best of all I managed NSD #12 yesterday :D

I'm hoping that I might be able to make today one as well which means I should make my target for this month.

Everyone is doing so well, especially for such a short month :T

    Have a good day
    xx

  • I clocked up NSD 5 yesterday, and my planning is better for the week ahead (fingers crossed!) so should be able to reach my target for the month. It's been harder than I thought it would be, but is really making me think about/plan my expenditure!

  • Morning all, very pleased to be able to report that I have now reached my target of 15 NSDs this month and with a full week to go.
Yay :j:j:j I think I'll try to get 3 more this week which should be doable.
